SOME NEW FRAMES

Here are a few frames I made recently...

Emboss resist with little charms that I picked up in Mexico

This is an emboss resist background...only, I used gold ebossing instead of clear.

Emboss resist again..

This is a photograph of  a bunch of "sontaka flowers", which I received for my birthday.
I framed the picture as a gift for a cousin.
It was much appreciated!

Teacher's Day offering!

This is what we made to give as gifts to all the teachers at my daughter's school this teacher's day. She is still at an age, where we need to make gifts in bulk(!). So, I die cut some pretty patterned card paper with my spellbinders nestabilities. She popped on a leather flower with a gemstone for the center, punched a hole, added ribbon and we were done.We had made really pretty gift tags. We made packs of two tags for each teacher...and larger packs for some special teachers and the principal.
Quite a successful project...I thought!!

My husband's birthday!!

I haven't posted in a while...been busy with a lot of things...
Here is a card that I made for my husband's birthday last week. Inspiration came by way of a card that I saw on the splitcoaststampers gallery. Here is the link..

My biggest compliment? My son says that it is my best work yet!!!
VERY GRATIFYING!
I hope you think so too.
the details are explained below each photo.
Do leave a comment and let me know what you think.

I was inspired by a card I saw on splitcoast stampers.I didn't have the stamp so I decided to draw the light house as best as I could. I think it has turned out ok! I painted with water colour, enhanced  and with colourpencil on normal drawing paper. I distressed the edges by tearing them and coloured them with Tim Holtz 'vintage photo' distress ink.

The cover of the card has the sentiments printed on vellum. I cut a window to fit the words, into a trifold card and then sandwiched the sheet of vellum. I finished it off with some more distress ink around the edges and a bow.

On the envelope, I stamped the lighthouse image and the birds from Inkadinkado's Coastal Maritime  stamp set, first with Memories 'Sand' dye ink and then over it in Versafine 'Onyx Black'.
Again the card was finished off with Tim Holtz  'Vintage photo' disress ink.
I was unable to write my wishes for my husband  in the card as it would disturb the final presentatin of the card, so I made a little notecard to go with it. I applied the same techniques as the envelope, on the notecard.
I think the final result was quite spectacular...what do you think?!!
