Mallika's card

Hello everyone!! Hope you are having a great weekend!
Today I roped in my daughter to make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Back To School Kids Challenge.
As usual, she was full of enthusiasm as we looked through my stash dies and stamps and papers, and here is what she came up with.

The dies are from the Scrapping Cottage...Cottage Cutz-Happy Hour.
She used coloured vellum for the die cuts and look how fun this card turned out!
I am incredibly proud!!
She also took the photograph...something she was very excited to do!
She says she will give this card to her dad for his birthday next week!

Thanks for stopping by...
Have a wonderful weekend!

Roses and Loved ones

Hello everyone!
I am back with this really pretty card that I made for a very dear friend recently.

I created the background by stamping the Roses from Stampin'UP and heat embossing them with white embossing powder.

I then coloured them and the background in with Camel artists water colour cakes.

I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from Penny Black, die cut it using spellbinders nestabilities, coloured the edges with  Tim Holtz distress ink and popped it on with double sided 3D foam tape.

I finished off the card by adding a strip of sequined lace for some pop and pizzaz!!

Pretty don't you think?!

Enjoy your day!

Chinese Takeout

Today I have another fun card for you, made with stamps the 'Good Fortune Stamp Set'  from Lawn Fawn.

I used the tutorial from Emily Leiphart to make the 3D Chinese takeout box.
The sketch I have used is from the Retro Sketches challenge.
For the background I used stamps from Kodonmo Inc.'s 'Chinese Tea Set' stamp set to stamp on bright red card stock.
I then cut it into strips and placed the strips a little apart from each other to create interest.
For the sentiment banner, I stamped the fortune cookie strip twice...one straight, once inverted, to create a banner.
The sentiment is an outline sticker from 'Anita's.'
The box and sentiment are all popped up with foam tape.

Fun, isn't it?!

Have a great day!

Fortune cookie

Hello everyone!
I recently acquired the most fabulous samp set from Lawn Fawn...'Good Fortune'.
Today I decided to use it to make a card for 'The Paper Players' sketch challenge no.160

I stamped and fussy cut the fortune cookie and the fortune strip and sliped the strip into a slot that I created within the cookie and adhered them together. The chopsticks in the background are from Kodomo inc. 'Chinese tea set stamp set.'
For the sentiments I used the 'Calligraphy Alphabet' stamp set from Stampendous and the 'Ribbon Sliders' stamp set also from Stampendous.

Cute, don't you think?!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!!

50th anniversary card

Hey everyone!
I've ben MIA for a while...it's been a busy two week with cousins visiting...
I am back today with a card which I made to order for a 50th wedding anniversary.

To make this card, I used a 6"x8" gold card.
I used my corner heart punches to hold the embossed cardstock.
I heat embossed the sentiment from verses rubbber stamps in gold and die cut the numbers fro the same gold card stock as the card.
It has all come together quite nicely, don't you think?!

Have a great evening!
