I love it!!!

Blue Felt leaves

Good Morning everyone!!
Its a beautiful, cool, sun dappled, morning in Mumbai.
There is no guarantee it will stay this way though!!!

I have a card today which I made for the  Runway Inspired Challenge.

To make this card I used spellbinders dies to cut out the leaves out of a sheet blue felt which had these gorgeous gold speckles on it.
For the flower, I used my spellbinders nestabilities to cut out 4 nesting layers out of this fabulous vellum like felt paper. It is so pretty and so malleable.
To complete the card, I added an embossed background and created the sentiment using a Hero Arts alphabet set.
I am just thrilled with the way this card turned out...I struggled with it for a while.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Get Well tag

Hello everyone!
I have a quick and easy project for you today.
A getwell soon tag that I made in under 5 minutes!

I first used my nestabilities dies to cut out the base shape out of red cardstock.
I stamped the band-aid image from Paper Smooches on white cardstock, coloured it with copic markers and colourpencils and cut it out.
Then, I added the sentiment and popped the band-aid with 3D foam tape.
Added some bakers twine and the tag was ready!

Hope you have fun making many such tags!

Here is card, which I am so very happy with!!

The stamps I used here are  Newsprint Cityscape Design Blocks from hero Arts, Marble Texture block from Stampendous, and the Tilted banners stamp and die set from Simon Says stamp.
The hot air balloons are free digital download, which I coloured with Copics and watercolours.

I am submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp 'Monday Challenge'.

I like to think of how I would use a card, when I make it.
To me, this seems like a perfect anniversary, wedding, anew home or agoing away card.

Can you think of any more occassions?

Pretty bugs!

Good morning all!!
It's a wet  wet morning here in Mumbai, but, I have woken up with ideas buzzing around in my head!!!
Looks like it is going to be a productive day!

I have two cards for you this morning, which showcase what I call the magnifying effect.

To create this effect I stamped the flowers once on the card and once on another piece of cardstock.
I punched our a 1" circle from the flowers on the cardstock and placed it on the base card to correspond with the image.
I then stamped the bugs on the circle and after colouring, I popped up the circle with 3D foam tape.

All the stamps used here are from Hero Arts and Stampendous and the ink is Danube blue from Memento.

The gorgeous twine is from The Twinery.

I also used Tim Holtz distress ink to watercolour the hydrangea.

I am submitting the Hydrangea card for the Simon Says stamp Wednesday challenge.

The Hydrangea stamp is from Hero Arts and is available to purchase in the Simon Says Stamp store.

Have a fabulous day!

Today I have a card for you...this Sympathy card went out a while ago on behalf of Jane Beljo of Jane's Doodles as she lost her stepbrother tragically.
For the background here, I used the Hero Arts Design block 'dots and flowers' stamp. the gorgeous poppy is from Penny Black's 'Flowers and Wishes stamp set and the sentiment is from Verses Rubber stamps.
Inks are are from Memento and the background is embossed with Cuttlebug.

I tried something new this time...I coloured in the flower  using my distress inks as water coulours and then stamped over it again in oder to get the details.

Silver fireworks

Hey All!
I have another card today which I made using my Martha Stewart cityscape punch. I also used some awesome paper from Penny Black, which, incidentally was a freebee from Addicted to Rubber Stamps when I ordered some stamps from them last year!!

I think the colour combinations are striking!

The fireworks stamp is a cling stamp from Stampendous (using it for the first time since I bought it years ago!!!), which I heat embossed with Detail Silver embossing powder from American Crafts.

The sentiment, which is also heat embossed with detail silver, is from Hero Arts.

Makes a fabulous Silver wedding anniversary card, don't you think?!

Washi Cityscape

Hello everyone!
I have a card today for the Friday mashup 'Washi Tape challenge and the Cas(E) This Sketch challenge.

To make this card, I applied two strips of bubbles Washi Tape to a sheet of paper.
I then punched out the cityscape using Martha Stewart's cityscape punch.
To make sure I would be able to adhere the cityscape to the cardstock properly, I used the Xyron 250 to make into a sticker.
The cityscape was then adhered to white cardstock, cut to size and framed with another piece of white cardstock.
Once the sentiment from Hero Arts added the panel was popped onto the card using 3D foam tape.

Quite effective, don't you think?!

The Challenge is to use elements which begin with A,B and C and /or use the 1,2,3 receipe, that is
use 1 embellishment, 2 stamp sets and 3 colours.

For A,B,C part of my card, I used the colour Aged Mahogany distress ink from Tim Holtz to stamp the sentiment on the Banner and a Cup as the motif.

For my 1,2,3 receipe, I used the banner (from the Simon Says Stamp 'tilted banners die and stamp set') as an embellishment.

The 2 stampsets that I have used are, the  Simon Says Stamp 'tilted banners die and stamp set', and the  the Technique Tuesday 'Eat Chocolate' stamp set.

The 3 colours that I have used are 'Dandelion' from Memento, 'Habanero' from Versafine and 'Aged Mahogany' from Tim Holtz.

To create interest, I cut the top flap of the card and placed the banner on the inside of the card.
