Happy birthday grand daughter

 Hey there!
I have decided to make some cards this week for my family to give my daughter...so here is one for my inlaws to give their daughter for her birthday.
I also decided to play the ATCAS 'Butterfly' challenge, the Friday Mashup 'Ombre' challenge and the paper Smooches Anything Goes challenge.

I made the background panel for this card using the left over memento inks that I used to colour my ombre (Pink shoes) card.
I hate wasting inks left on the craft sheet, don't you?!
The butterfly is Spellbinders shapeabilities and the gemstones are from my stash.
The sentiment stamps are from Hero Arts, PTI, and Paper Smooches.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Summer butterflies

I have a card today for the Simon Says Samp Summer challenge...

I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched squares die to create a polaroid like frame for my gorgeous butterfly buttons. I created a summery background with the flower stamp from an Inkadinkado stamp set. I finished it off with a bold sentiment from Hero Arts.

I am submitting this for the ATCAS  code word Butterfly challenge as well.

A pretty, bright and cheerful card, I think!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a good night!

Ombre fun!

I decided to use some of the challenges this week to make a special card for my daughter who turns 13 this week.
And, Oh! what fun I had!!!
My daughter is an athlete and has done really well in the last 6 months, without any formal training at all!
So I thought the shoe motif from Simon Says Stamp's All Boy stamp set would be perfect for her!
She is still quite girly though, so I decided to go with pink Ombre!

I used Memento inks Lilac posies, Rose bud and Angel pink to watercolour the shoes and London fog  to watercolour the background.
I decided to ink the background card to give and Ombre look to the whole card.
I heat embossed the sentiment from Hero Arts and Winnie and Walter on a vellum panel and added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to finish off the card.
I just love it...I hope she does too!

I am submitting this card for the Friday Mashup challenge and the Pretty Pink Posh Watercolour blog hop and the Blog named Hero 'Tic Tac Toe" challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Goodies from Craftadda!

Hi there!
I was so thrilled to receive my first DT package full of goodies  from CraftAdda, last week!
So, I sat down and had some fun with them!

For this card, I used the gorgeous printed papers and washi tape on brown card stock so as to make them pop!
I also added a the sparkly washi tape, just for a bit of interest.
I then die cut  the word Happy (from Winnie and Walter) from this panel. I then die cut the Happy a couple more times with white card stock so that I could raise the word and give it some dimension.
I then heat embossed  the sentiment, added some sequins and adhered the panel to a white card base.
Its the first time that I have tried this technique, and I am thrilled with the result!

For this cute tag, I used the same paper and wash tape as I used above, but not the sparkly tape.
I added a  butterfly button from my stash and stamped the sentiments (from Winnie and Walter) to finish  the card.
I created the black border for the ribbon hole using circle punches.

I've had a lot of fun…Hope I have inspired you to try out some of these awesome products from CraftAdda!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!
