Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

When I saw this card sketch on retro sketches, I knew I had a chance to use the Darcies stamp set that I had bought last year, but not yet used! I used glossy accents and white enamel accents to make the monster's eye pop! The sentiment is a free digi...unfortunately I didn't save the source so I don't remember where it is from. I will share the the file at the end of the post for those who may want to use it.

I used papers from Craft Adda's Crafttangles Old Paper by Tamara 6"x6" paper pack. I distressed the edges with  Tim Holtz distress ink and added some self adhesive gemstones to finish the card.

Here's wishing you have a monstrously fun weekend!

Black lace and Red roses!

Black lace and red roses...an awesome combination!
I just LOVE these new papers from the 'Old Paper' paper pack by Tamara.
This paper pack is available at Craft Adda..the awesome craft store that fulfills all your art and craft needs!

I used the sketch from the Paper Players to make this card. I cut the circle using Simon Says Stamp Stitched circles die, heat embossed the sentiment from Winnie and Walter and added the bold birthday sentiment (a free digital file which I will share below) with some 3 D tape, to finish the card.
I used extra large mulberry paper roses to add the pop of colour.

Gives you a lovely old world, vintage feel doesnt it?

9 days of Navratri...its GREY today!

Hello! Good morning!

Its day 5 of navratri and we are celebrating the colour GREY today.

I have three cards today....

I have used seasonal sentiments...I think they make for very unusual Diwali or Christmas cards...what do you think?
For this card, I heat embossed in silver, the Impression Obsession stripes background on grey cardstock. I then added a frame cut with Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles. The vase is from paper Smooches..I heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder to make it look like ceramic. The sentiment is from Hero Arts 'Holiday Sayings' stamp set.
I then made the bird of paradise flower using coloured vellum and added some punched leaves to finish.
I really love this card...its a personal best for me!

For this card, I dry embossed (cuttlebug folder) a panel of silver  cardstock, added pre-made orchid flowers and finished off with a sentiment from Hero Arts 'Holiday Sayings'. I embossed the brown panel with a cuttlebug embossing folder. It was quick and easy and I love the striking colours.

For this card, I cut a trellis using the PTI die from silver cardstock. I then added it to the card base and added some punched vellum flowers for the celebratory feel of Diwali.

Thanks so much for stopping by...I'll see you tomorrow with the colour  Orange.
Have a great day!

I then watercoloured the background with  Windsor and Newton watercolours. I then added the sentiment from Lawn fawn's 'Lunar Lights' stamp set and added a die cut butterfly...which I cut using the Spellbinders shapeabilities dies and sparkly yellow card stock from DCWV.

Happy Navratri

Hey there!
Its Navratri! 9 days and nights of festivities before the festival of Dussehra!
It is the festival that celebrates the Goddess all over the country.
Each of the 9 days is celebrated with different colour representing a different avatar of the Goddess.
Today celebrates the colour Red.

Though I am not a religious person, I have decided to make a card everyday to celebrate the various colours...I am an artist after all!

Today I have made  really simple CAS tag...
And, I absolutely love the sentiment from simon Says Stamp.

The Stamp used is from Hero Arts and I used my Steadler fine liners to colour the flowers red.
Thanks so much for stopping by...
See you tomorrow with the colour Blue!

Hey there!
Here is the card that I made for the Indian Craft room  Coasteride 'triangle' challenge.
For this card, I created a panel using the 'Friendly flags' stamp set  and neon inks from Hero Arts.I used the assorted alphabet stamps from Hero Arts for the sentiment. The 'happy' die is from Winnie and Walter and the I created the background using a flower stamp from Stampendous and London fog ink from Memento. I cut two strips of gold embossed card stock to line the edges of the triangles and finish the card.
I like the cheerful, festive colours...don't you?

And the final few diwali cards

And here are the final few cards that I have made for the season.
For this batch of cards, I stamped (Hero Arts) and watercoloured a panel, cut it up and used it on various cards.
The gold stripes background is from Impression Obsession and the sentiments are from the Hero Arts 'Holiday Saying' stamp set.
I have to mention here, that, I was inspired to make this motif/background, by the design on a fisherwoman's saree! It was a flash as I passed by in a cab...but thankfully my brain registered  and filed  away the design and I was able to work it out when I got home! So this set of cards is particularly special!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

And some more diwali cards!

Hey!
I am playing with a triangle motif here, for this batch of diwali cards.
I stamped some 'friendly flags' from the Hero Arts stamp set using Hero arts neon inks onto white card stock. I then cut up the panel and managed to make so many cards from that one 4"x6" panel!
I love it! The happy sentiment from Winnie and Walter was cut out from an old invitation card...it had the perfect colours.

The sentiments I used here are from the Hero Arts 'Holiday Sayings' stamp set.

For this card, I used little flowers from the Stampendous stamp set to create a background and added the friendly flags panel along with some printed paper from Doodlebug design. since I did not have the diwali sentiment, I used the Hero Arts 'assorted alphabet ' stamp set to create it.
I coloured the cardbase using the Hero arts neon colours  in order to make the card pop.

For this card, I sponged the neon colours onto the card base  and stamped some circles from the Paper Smooches 'I heart Art' stamp set to create a bokeh effect. I finished it off with the happ sentiment from Winnie and Walter and diwali sentiment made from Hero Arts assorted alphabets.

For this card, I used printed papers from Doodlebug designs to off set the scrap piece I had left from the friendly flags panel. It looks so pretty! I added the happy sentiment from Winnie and Walter and diwali sentiment made from the assorted alphabets from Hero Arts.

I am really excited with this batch!
Hope you enjoy them too!

Have a great day!
