Blue giraffe

Hi!
I just love the variety of the patterns in this paper pack and I have tried to showcase that here.
I used a wooden giraffe button as the focal point, placed on a few circles punched with my EK success and Punch Bunch punches.
I finished off the card with some jute ribbon.
I didn't add a sentiment as I felt it didn't need one. :-)

A cute and simple card.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Here is my 2nd inspiration for you this month.

I have made a tag for this challenge.
I die cut the tag using Spellbinders nestabilities labels die. The floral image is from stampendous. I applied ink to the image, spritzed it with some water and then stamped it on the tag to create the water colour effect. I then splattered some yellow paint on the image for interest and added the sentiment from Paper Smooches.
To finish the tag I punched a hole and added some yellow bakers twine.
Fun, simple and ideal for any occassion.

Reviewing the "All for Love "Paper pack from Craftangles by CraftAdda

Hello!
This paper pack that I am reviewing for CraftAdda today is just delicious!!!
the Craftangles "All for Love Paper Pack" has so many varied papers...as you can see, I haven't used the love themed ones. The papers are sturdy and have a beautiful smooth matt finish..a dream to work with!
I used a sketch from Retrosketches to help me start and used jute twine  from MayArts and butterfly buttons to embellish the card.
I decided not to add a sentiment, as it is always nice to have some blank cards on hand.
I hope you enjoy playing with these papers too...You can shop for them and other awesome art and craft supplies here...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Reviewing Craftangles All for Love Paper Pack.

Hello!
For my official CraftAdda post today
I have a card which I made using the Craftangles 'All for Love' 6"x6" paper pack!
These papers are of superb quality...thick and smooth and cut like butter!I just love the vibrant colours and whimsical patterns!

To make this card, I used an old  card sketch from Retrosketches.
I cut the papers using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched rectangle die, Law Fawn Polaroid die and some circle and scalloped circle punches from EK Success and Punch Bunch.

The large die cut sentiment is from Winnie and Walter.
I used  a couple of brads from recollections to add some interest.
Since I loved the plaid pattern on the paper, I decided to use the plaid pattern cuttlebug embossing folder for the background cardstock.

A nice masculine card...don't you think?

Do drop by the CraftAdda store to check this paper pack as well as many more awesome designs from Craftangles!

I am playing the Simon Says Stamp wednesday"Touchy Feely" challenge this week!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Here is my 1st inspiration for you this month.
Don't forget to stop by on the 15th of Feb for our second round of inspiration.

I have made a cash gift envelope for this challenge.

I used a strip of post it tape as a mask in the centre of the envelope and used stamps from WPLUS9's Fresh Cut florals stamp set to create a floral design. I also stamped some flowers on the matching insert.
I finished the envelope with a bold sentiment from MFT stamps' 'Celebrate Big' stamp set.

Now for some inspiration...

To make this tag, I used post it tape to mask strips on the tag and coloured them with Black soot distress ink from Tim Holtz.

I then stamped the succulent image onto a scrap piece of card stock as well as a piece of Inkadinkado masking paper.

I then cut out the mask and adhered it to the cardstock and stamped the remaining succulent images over the mask.

Here you can see the image with the mask removed.

I then added some red flowers and fussy cut the entire image. I added the image to the tag with some 3D tape to add dimension. I finished the tag by adding a sentiment from the Winnie and Walter 'Big Bold and Happy' stamp set.

For the card below, I used a masking technique that I learnt when I took the
Online Card Classes 'Mask-erade' class which was taught by Laura Bassen.

To start, I created a mask by die cutting a piece of acetate (OHP sheet) with my spellbinders nestabilities heart die. I also die cut the love you die from die-versions.

I then placed the word die where I wanted it on the card panel and marked a centre point.

This is where I place the tip of the heart.

I taped the mask in place with post it tape

I used Hero Arts neon colours to colour the hearts.

For the second heart, I overlapped the mask over half of the previous heart...

...and added colour.

I continued in the same way....

...till I addded all the colours that I wanted.

I finished the card by adding the word die cut and placing the panel on a white card base.

I loved the way my projects turned out...I hope that I have inspired you to play along!

We have some more inspiration for you from our

FEBRUARY GUEST DESIGNER
JUHI KHANNA

This month we have the talented Juhi Khanna, of Juhishandmadecards
as our Guest Designer.
She has such a fun style!
I love her work and I am sure that you will too!

Here is what she has to say about herself...

I'm Juhi, an Electronics Engineer from Bangalore originally, but, now live in Singapore.

I started making cards with locally available Indian handmade paper and die-cuts/stickers in 2009.
though I have continued making cards over the years, I got hooked onto stamping towards the end of 2014.
I love to learn and explore stamping techniques with watercolouring being my current favourite.
I am just begginning to explore making CAS cards and often find them more challenging to create than, well,...CAS cards. I love the process though.
You can view my work on my blog , facebook and instagram.

About my card...

I am so happy to be the March Guest Designer for our very own Indian challenge blog and I would like to thank Paru for giving me this opportunity!

This month's theme is Colours and Masking

I created a one layered card with loads of masking and stamping.
I started off with taking my card base and masking a border on all four sides as well a a strip towards the bottom of the card with Washi tape.
Please forgive the messy washi tape...it is a leftover from a previous project.

I then stamped flowers from Jane's Doodles 'Doodle flowers' stamp set onto a large sticky back post it sheet. I then cut them to create masks.

I then stamped onto my masked panel, one flower at a time, masking out the stamped flowers to create a layered effect.

One I was satisfied with the stamping, I completely masked the stamped portions with the masking paper and some masking fluid.
I used the fluid for the tiny stamped areas.
Once the masking fluid dried, I randomly stamped the dotted background.
I finally coloured the flowers in bright colours, after removing the mask and stamped the sentiment.
I also added a black border around the stamped area to finish my card.

I hope my card inspires you to create your own masked project. I would love to see what you come up with!
