A shaker card for Dad

 Hello!
I have a fun shaker card today, made with patterned papers from the
Craftangles 'Papa Kehte Hain' paper pack.

I used Queen and Company dies to create the shaker and added little white beads inside.  The medallion is part of the paper pack, which I suspended using some white cord.

It is a simple card which took some time to make as I stacked multiple die cuts to create the shaker.
Hope you will give it a try!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Shaker with Bells

Hello!
Today I have a couple of simple shaker cards for you,

To make this card, I created a simple white shaker window using Queen and Company frame dies.
I then placed some gold ghungroos (bells) inside,
and placed it on a background of the dancing girls paper.
A simple gold embossed sentiment from Simon Says Stamp finished this card.

To make the second card, I used two different papers from the same paper pack.
I created the shaker window using Queen and Company oval frame dies, placed the sequins and sealed the window using the India patterned paper. I then placed this sealed shaker on the dancing girl background.
I love how the yellow paper pops and our national colours shine!

I love this paper pad so much, I have bought a second one!

I hope you will try out this paperpack.
You can buy it here.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Spotlight card

Hello!
I have a simple and fun technique called 'Spotlighting' here today,
which can enhance your greeting cards!
It's a simple technique where the image is re-stamped onto a small piece of cardstock and placed above the original image to create the illusion of magnifying the spot or creating a 'spotlight'.
It is such a pretty stamp set, and I decided to add the little bee for interest.

To 'spotlight' the flower and the bee, I first stamped the floral image onto Bielo cardstock
using the Misti tool.
I then placed a punched circle of the same cardstock over the area that I wanted to 'spotlight' and stamped the image again.
I now had a perfect image on the circle.
I then coloured the images using Sakura Koi watercolours.
I then added the bee from the 'Bold Geraniums' stamp set from Stampendous.
I then adhered the circle using double sided foam tape.
This created the illusion of magnification.

I then mounted the square cut panel onto a kraft panel (which I cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched squares dies) and then finally onto the card using craft foam to add dimension.
I added a bit of green paint splatter and some gold sequins for interest.

I decided not to add a sentiment...the card was so pretty by itself!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Now for some inspiration...

I created this card using Impression Obessions dies and stamps from the 'Rinding Pretty' set!
And, then, I used the Chibitronics led light circuit to light up this card!!!

Other stamps and dies used as from Hero Arts, lawn Fawn and Litle B

Isn't this fun?
You can learn how to create your own circuit using the Chibitronics starter kit, HERE.

I also made this tag using the beautiful hollyhocks die from Impression Obsession, and a stencil from My Favourite Things. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the pretty sequins from
Pretty Pink Posh.

For more inspiration,
I have the Fabulously talented

as my guest designer today!

I have admired her work for many years, so its a real honour to have her here to inspire us today!

Hi Everyone!
I am Bhavana. Thank You Paru, for inviting me as a  guest designer!
I feel so honoured.
A little about me..
I am from India and currently live in Santa Clara, California. I love card making and I have been making cards for the past 6 years.
I love anything artsy and craftsy. You can check out my work at my blog

I am excited and had fun making cards with the LOVE theme.

My first card is very simple; I did an ink smooshing technique for the background using 'Fired Brick' distress ink and water, the love hand sign is from Paper Smooches 'Helping Hand' stamp set.

For my second card, I used Sugar Pea designs, 'Enchanted Garden' stamp set and dies.
I used  Zig real brush pens watercolour markers to colour them. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp 'Favourite flowers' stamp set.
I adhered the image using foam tap and added some clear sequins to finish my card.

For the tag, I used Winnie and Walter's 'You've got mail' stamp set. For the background stamping I used aged mahogany distress ink and did second generation stamping and for the envelopes I used water colours.
The stamped sentiment is from the same set.

I hope you have been inspired!
Happy Crafting!
