Showcasing the Craftangles 'Back to School' paper pack.

Hello!
They are so vibrant and colourful and of the most luxurious quality!
I really enjoyed making these cards and I do hope you like them!

Card no.1 is a simple one..
I have added a sentiment from the Craftangles 'Super girl 'stamp set,
along with a little pencil shaped button from my stash.

For card no.2, I created a faux magnifying glass (by stacking die cut circles)
and made it into a shaker element.
I added the sentiment from the 'Superboy' stamp set from Craftangles.

Card no.3 was a lot of fun..I used the dotted patterned paper from the Craftangles 'Back to School' pattered paper pack as the background and die cut the beakers (from mft's Chemistry set ). I added some acetate behind the diecut and created a shaker element. I then filled the shakers with blue and green seed beads. I added a ink blended background panel to close the shaker. I then adhered this panel to a kraft card base and added a sentiment from mft's 'Undeniable Chemistry' stamp set.

Card o. 4 took a little while to make..its not perfect, but I think I have managed to acheive what I wanted!
It is an interactive pull tab slider card which slides up to reveal the school bus full of monster kids..super cute images in this paper pack!!

For the sentiment on the pull tab, I combined half a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's
'Absolutely edge' stamp and die set and Craftangles 'Super Girl' stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed these cards as much as I enjoyed making them!!
Do try out this paper pack..its amazing!!

Have a great day!

Playing the SSS 'Masculine' challenges today

Hello!
I finally got around to making some Father's Day cards last night..
I had to do a lot of research as inspiration kept evading me!!

These are the cards I came up with and since both the Simon Says Stamp challenges have the same theme this week, I have decided to try my luck!

For the first card, I stamped out a simple quote using Stmapendous  and Hero Arts alphabet sets, along with the Fathers day sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
I created an argyle background using a Craftangles stencil and tim Holtz distress ink.
I used SSS Stitched dies to create the top panel which I popped up using a foam sheet.
While I was looking for a way to add some interest, I found this telephone brad from Recollections.
It's just perfect no?

Card #2 is probable my favourite!
I printed out the sentiment and then added a gold square (cut using SSS stitched dies) and a white square...a left over from another card. The goggles are cut using the  Impression Obsession spectacles die set and the moustache is die cut using the Little B die.
The Father's day sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Can I have two favourites... I just love card no card #3!
I wanted brogues, but I did not have a stamp! I could have bought one but I am doing a 'No Buy June' challenge..so that was out!
I then decide to try my hand at illustrating..It isn't perfect, but then it doesn't have to be right?
I've even added my signature..it is an original illustration after all!!
I printed out the sentiment and added the SSS Father's day sentiment in Memento's Rich Cocoa ink.
I used Sakura Koi watercolours to colour the brogues!

Card #4 I am unsure of..what do you think?
It seemed better in concept!
I have layered SSS stitched dies here and used the Impression Obsession spectacle die.
The sentiment is gold embossed suing Stampendous 'retro' alphabet stamps.
I finished the card by stamping the SSS Father's day sentiment in Memento's Rich Cocoa ink.
I just love using the white gel pen to add highlights.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great night!

Intercative cards showcasing Craftangles Superkids stamp sets and co-ordinating dies.

Hello!
I have some super exciting cards for you today, showcasing

I started out by stamping the superkids images onto Bielo white cardstock and
colouring them using my Sakura Koi watercolours.
I then die cut them using the co-ordinating dies.

To start, I made a simple card using one of the Supergirl images. I just love the 'Rays' stencil from Craftangles...it lends itself to so many scenes!!
I also love the sentiment that I used..with many kids starting college in the next few months, or starting a new year at school, they really need to 'Believe in their superpowers'!
I used Memento inks to blend and some of the Oh! so awesome new sequins from Craftangles!
I just LOVE the bright colours and the absolutely superb quality!!

For the second card, I used this fabulous tutorial
You will find lots of ideas here!
I used two of the Superkids images for this card as well as sentiment stamps from the set.
I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp too.

I think it turned out adorable!

For the third card, I have used the exclamation stamps from the Superkids stamp sets, and combined it with the Craftangles Film Strip die.
I decided to make a magic colour reveal card combining it with a shaker element.
You can find a tutorial for this here.
The balloons are from the 'Happy birthday to Youuu' stamp set.

I made the same card, but, with a kraft pull tab...what do you think? Which one is better..white or kraft?

For the fourth card, I used the flying superboy image, exclamation stamps and the rays stencil.
This time, I decided to hide the sentiment, so that it is revealed only when you pull the tab.

Nice no?
I think this card is my faourite!

I hope you will get yourself this stamp set  and cordinating dies and try making some fun cards.

Now for some inspiration...

I had a blast making the inspiration cards for this challenge!
I hope you will enjoy them too!
I am no good at putting up tutorials,
so you can find the links to the tutorials for these cards here.

The first card I made is a

WHEEL  SHAKER CARD

To make this card
I started out with the Simon Says Stamp 'Fish and bowl' stamp and die set.
Using the die in the set, I created a shaker element which has acetate on both sides.
In between the acetate, I cut some coloured vellum and sandwiched it to give the appearance of water. I added sequins ( I should have added more!) from 'Dress my Craft' and A1 Craft Supply.
I also stamped and die cut some fish and added them to the bowl..one on the inside and one on the outside.
I created the spinner mechanism as shown in this video by Sandy Allnock.

I finished the card with a sentiment from the same stamp set.

This was super fun to make and I hope you will try it!

The second card is made is  a

This too was just too much fun to make!!

You will find a full tutorial here.

To make this card, I have used stamps from
Altenew's 'To the Moon' stamp set and My Favourite things 'Space Explorer' stamp set.
To colour, I used Camlin watercolours and Staedler water colour pencils.
The dies I used are from Spellbinders.
I used a white gel pen to add the stars and the little highlights.
I used queen and company circle frame dies to create a border around the window
and added black self adhesive gemstones for interest.

Do try out this card..You will love it!

To inspire you some more,
we have a fabulous card maker who makes the most extraordinary interactive cards.

Our Guest designer today is
Sindhura

Hello everyone!
My name is Sindhura and I blog at Paperminty.

First, I would like to thank Paru for this wonderful opportunity.

I was thrilled when I saw the

GD invitation mail in my inbox. :)

Since the challenge for this month is to create an Interactive card.

  I made a pop-up card and a shaker tag.

I created a cute, fun scene on the card. Here it is...

First, I stamped all the images on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and coloured them

with Zig markers; then fussy cut them all out. I also die cut a few stips of grass.

I sponged some ink with the help of a die-cut stencil to make clouds in the background

This is how the pop-up opens on the inside of the card.

The next is the shaker tag...

To make this tag, I die cut a number of tag with windows die cuts. I did this to avoid using

foam tape. I backed all the stacked die cuts with a patterned paper. I adhered the adorable

elephants to finish the tag. I used the clear sequins as I didn't want them to be too distracting.

I hope you like what I made and you will participate in the challenge.
Good luck, friends.

I hope you have been inspired to dive in and make an Interactive card.
There are lots of resources on YouTube so check it out and let's see those shakers, sliders, pop-ups, box cards and any other cards that you can think of!!
I can't wait!
