Happy Birthday

I was playing around with backgrounds ( I like to have a few backgrounds on hand to make a quick card!) and decided to do an embossed resist with this Hero Arts Large Line Flowers woodblock stamp.
I applied Tim Holtz distress inks directly to my (Ranger industries) craft mat, spritzed them with water, and used my fingers to apply the paint. The result was not quite what I expected (Shari Caroll makes it look so easy in her videos!!), but I did not want to throw away the card. So after much struggling, I managed to put together this card. The scalloped edge punch is from Martha Stewart and the ribbon is from a local craft store. The flower is from my stash...forgot where it came from though!!

Emboss Resist

I recently bought this Hero Arts stamp from a friend...I just love it!
To make this card I decided to use a technique that I saw long time ago in a Hero Arts video. Unfortunately I am unable to find the link now.
This is how it goes though...
I stamped and embossed my image on an ivory card stock first in Chestnut and then with Clear embossing powder, hence, u can see two images. I then applied my distress inks directly to my 'Ranger craft sheet', spritzed water onto the colours and then, using my fingers,  applied the different colours to the image, where I wanted them. for example, the green on the leaves and the lavender and red for the flowers. I finished it off by sponging colour onto the background.  I layered the image with purple handmade paper and then onto a kraft card base.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts too.
One of my favourite cards!!

MY SALE AT 'CANDIES'

I had a stall the Candies Bazaar last week end. For the first time I had only cards and my photographs for sale.
It was briliant!!!
Almost everyone who came to the stall bought something, and more importantly, gave me fantastic feedback! It was very gratifying!
Here is a picture of my stall, and then some of the cards that I had for sale.
Some of these cards you will find on my 'SHOP' page. If youwould like to purchase them, please get in touch.

Thanks for stopping by...
Enjoy!

SOME NEW CARDS...

I am really happy with the way these cards have turned out! I think I have taken my photocards to the next level!
What do you think?
Sentiments are from Hero Arts, and the big Dahlia is a cling stamp from Stampendous.
