Valentine week- Day 5

A very quick post this morning….We're off for sports day at school!

A simple CAS card with a muted background from Hero Arts. I stamped the background on the  white circle and die cut the heart with my nestablilities. I then die cut a smaller red circle, stamped the same background on it and placed it behind the heart.
I then popped to up with some foam tape and finished it of with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
I love that pop of red with the hint of the butterfly wings!

I am submitting this card fort the CASology challenge.

Its a big deal!

Hi! I have a card today for the Paper Smooches Sparks Anything goes (wk5) challenge as well as the Simply Less is More 'Celebration' challenge, in honour of their 200th challenge.

The stamps I've used are from the Paper Smooches 'Think Fast' stamp set and for the background, the Hero Arts 'Its your day' stamp set.

I stamped the images on white card stock using Memento inks, coloured them with watercolours and then fussy cut them. I then popped them with some 3D foam tape.

I cut the hexagon using Spellbinders nestabilities.

I like that this is a fun card that can lend itself to more than one occasion!

Quick tags

I have been struggling  with a creative block for the last couple of months and it is really frustrating!
So, I decided to try making some tags...a smaller and less daunting project!
Here is what I came up with for my official Craft Adda Blog post....

To make these tags, I used Spellbinders Nestabilities dies,  rubber stamps from PTI, Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn, and sentiment and shape dies from Spellbinders, Penny black and Paper smooches.
I used inks from Memento and Versafine and Derwent watercolour pencils.
Hope these tags inspire you to create!

Thanks for stopping by...
Have a good night!

Picture perfect!

Today for my official post on the Craft Adda Blog, I have this fun and cheerful card!

I am playing the CASology  week 78 Cue card DOT challenge  and the Simon Says stamp"Emboss It " Wednesday  challenge with this card.

This darling stamp is from MFT stamps. The sentiments are from MFT and Hero Arts.
I did not have the word  "you are", so I partially inked up the sentiment 'you're the best' from the Hero Arts 'Everyday Sayings' stamp set and added it to the 3D tape popped up sentiment fro MFT stamps.
The background stamp is from Stampin'Up (I think...its really old!) and the stars are die cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities and embossed with a small dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

Hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great evening!

Records rock!

I just love old Vinyl records, don't you?!
So, I decided to make a card along that theme...

For the Vinyl record, I punched a 13/4" circle(EK success) from black card stock and a 3/4" circle(EK success) from red card stock.  I then punched a hole in the centre of the red circle using my Crop-a-dile and adhered the two together. For the base a cut out a square piece of kraft card with my spellbinders nestabilities and stamped over it with the Stampin' Up woodgrain background stamp.
I distressed all the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink.
For the arm of the record player, I used an arrow from the Cottage Cutz valentine heart die.
Finally the sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Be Boppin' stamp set, held together with a music note brad from recollections.

I am entering this card for the CASology  week 78 cue word 'DOT' challenge.

I really enjoyed making this card...I'm sure whoever receives it will enjoy it too!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Polaroid fun!

Happy Wednesday!!!
I LOVE the nostalgia of polaroid photos, so today I have a card  today for my weekly post at
Craft Adda that indulges this nostalgia!

To make the Polaroid frame, I used my square nestabilties die on white cardstock.
I was inspired by this blog post by writescrapbook .com.
I then cut around it to create the frame.

I stamped the cupcakes from the Stampendous 'Hey there cupcake' stamp set  with teal zeal and summer sky ink from Memento and cut them out.

The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug dots embossing folder.
The background stripes are from Impression Obsession, stamped with Memories sand ink .
I then put it all together using some double sided foam tape to add dimension.
The  fabulous sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I'm really happy about the way this card has turned out!!
Try it...its really easy!
I am entering this card for the SimonSays Stamp 'Anything Goes' challenge featuring Impression Obsession.
