Celebrating Yellow!

Hey there!

Today is the day we celebrate Yellow... day 3 of the nine days of Navratri. 

To make this card I stamped and heat embossed the flower from Hero Arts with white embossing powder ..also from Hero Arts.

I then watercoloured the background with  Windsor and Newton watercolours. I then added the sentiment from Lawn fawn's 'Lunar Lights' stamp set and added a die cut butterfly...which I cut using the Spellbinders shapeabilities dies and sparkly yellow card stock from DCWV.

This card surely celebrates Yellow..don't you think?

And the final few diwali cards

And here are the final few cards that I have made for the season. 

For this batch of cards, I stamped (Hero Arts) and watercoloured a panel, cut it up and used it on various cards. 

The gold stripes background is from Impression Obsession and the sentiments are from the Hero Arts 'Holiday Saying' stamp set.

I have to mention here, that, I was inspired to make this motif/background, by the design on a fisherwoman's saree! It was a flash as I passed by in a cab...but thankfully my brain registered  and filed  away the design and I was able to work it out when I got home! So this set of cards is particularly special!

More diwali cards

Continuing with my diwali card reveal...

To make these cards, I watercoloured two pieces of card stock and then stamped and heat embossed the awesome fireworks (from Stampendous) with gold embossing powder. The sky line is from Memory box and the sentiment from the Hero Arts 'Holiday Sayings' stamp set. 

These were quick and easy...and I love how they turned out! I feel the festive mood creeping up!

Diwali card reveal!

Oops I deleted my earlier post  by mistake! So I am writing it again!

To make this card and tag, I first stamped the flower motif on a piece of white card stock and coloured around it with Camlin watercolours. I then added some gold with my Signo gold pen for interest.

I then cut up the panel and adhered it to another piece of white card stock along with the gold cardstock edging (from spellbinders dies). I finished them off with sentiments from the Hero Arts 'Holiday Sayings' stamp set.

Fun and festive, don't you think?
