Polaroid birthday

Hey there! I am playing the Lawnscaping  'Sketch' challenge from Lawn Fawn today!

I am also playing the Simon Says Stamp flickr 'ink blending' challenge today.

To make this card, I masked off a square apnel with post it tape and created my scene by ink blending Mama Elephant yellow ink and Memento 'Tangelo' ink. (I used a circular mask too). 

I then stamped my foliage (from Inkadinkado).

I used the polaroid diecut from lawn Fawn to frame my scene. 

To add interest, and to keep to the sketch, I dry embossed paper Smooches dots and dashes die on the base panel in an diagonal. 

To finish, I stamped some dragonflies on the background and popped up the polaroid panel with some  fun foam.

I also added the birthday sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

I really enjoyed making this card!

Gramdmother dolls

Playing the Casology MOM challenge!

Finally found  a sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp) to match this gorgeous Doll stamp set from Hero Arts.

Its a quick and simple note card... The card topper is cut using Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles.

I added a light watercolour wash with Sakura Koi Watercolours and finished the card with May arts jute ribbon.

I am so very happy with this card!

I came upon a new challenge, thanks to my friend Neha Bhatt of Perwinkle creations who was guest designer for the I love Math challenge.

To make this card, I started with some new smooth white card stock that I am trying out...it is great for stamping and as you can see it is great for ink blending too! 

I normally use textured white card stock...this is a nice change.

I blended Mama Elephant's Yellow ink along with memento Tangelo ink and die cut (using Simon Says Stamp stitched circles) the sun/moon. 

I then stamped, coloured and fussy cut the giraffe and zebra from Lawn Fawn's 'Critters on the Savannah' stamp set. 

I placed these on a black card topper and heat embossed the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp in white. 

I love the way it turned out...Its bold and bright and I cant wait to share it with a dear friend!

Make it girlie

I am playing the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge 'Make it Girlie" challenge with this card.

The sketch is from Retrosketches #211...unfortunately, 

though the card was made I didn't put it up in time!

As I mentioned in my earlier post today, I stumbled upon a wonderful craft shop in Crawford Market, Mumbai, which is selling the most awesome paper packs!

I used the 'Summer Bloom' 6"x6" paper pack for this card. I overlayed the paper with Vellum and heat embossed part of the sentiment onto it. The sentiment is completed with a die cut from Simon Says Stamp. I finished the card with a Jute ribbon fromMayarts!

Butterfly Beauty

Hey there!

I am playing the Simons Says Stamp 'Butterfly Beauty' Monday Challenge today.

I stumbled upon this small craft shop in Crawford Market, Mumbai, which had amazing paper packs! I used a pretty paper pack called Summer Bloom for this card.

I punched out a few butterflies, adhered them and then dry embossed the rest of the card, before adding the sentiment from Hero Arts. I finished off the card with a piece of jute ribbon from Mayarts.

April coasteride -elemental Inspiration -Part two

We at Indian Craft Room are back with round two of inspirations for the April coasteride challenge.

 Her challenge to you is to create a project using three elements (colour palette will count as one element) from the photo inspiration below .

Here is my 2nd inspiration for you this month.

To make this card, I elements I used are 1. The PINK stool 2. The chalk board and 3. The white radiator (I was inspired by the radiator to embossed vertical lines with the help of my scorpal).

I used an old cherry blossom stamp from Stampendous stamped in white (hero arts unicorn ink) on the black cardstock.  I die cut and embossed a pink vase using  an Impression Obsession vases die and  a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I hand embossed the vertical lines on white card stock(inspired by the white radiator in the photo) to finish the card.

I couldn't decide on a sentiment so I decided to leave it blank for the moment.

I love the pop of pink, don't you?
