Distress ink watercolour monoprints with Stencils and Stamps

Hi!
Today, for my Craft Adda post, I have two cards which I made using water and Tim Holtz distress inks.

For the first card, I smooshed some distress inks onto a home made stencil ( I cut out some numbers out of a clear plastic sheet) and spritzed it with a lot of water. I then place my card stock onto the stencil and let it pick up the colours. A
After it dried, I stamped the sentiment (from Kaisercraft)with black ink.
A quick and easy birthday card!

For this card, I used a cling stamp from Hero Arts. I smooshed the colour directly onto the stamp and spritzed it with a lot of water. I then place a piece of card stock over it and picked up the colours. Its so easy and fun...you get a different effect every time!
I then finished off the card by stamping the sentiment in black and adding some sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great evening!

Pumpkin Happiness

Hey everyone!
I realised I didn't have a pumpkin stamp or image, so I decided to draw the pumpkins myself!
They are not perfect, but I love the overall look of the card.
The Polaroid die is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Verses rubber stamps.
I used watercolours and colour pencils to colour my pumpkins and gave the card base a distress ink and water wash.
To finish, I added a bow of bakers twine and some wooden buttons from my stash.

Umbrella

Hey there!
When I saw the cue card from Casology, I just had to pull out my Art Impressions stamps!
I stamped it on ivory cardstock and watercoloured the image.
I then created a background of falling stars with my Winnie and Walter stencil and add the sentiment with an umbrella brad from Recollections to finish the card.
I will frame this later to gift to a friend.

Inspired by Retro Sketches

Hey there!
I was inspired to make these cards when I saw the retro sketches challenge last week. Unfortunately I missed their deadline!
I did however combine many of my favourite techniques to make these cards so that I could submit them for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Blog 'Love this technique' challenge.
My favourite techniques that I have used here are water colouring, rubber stamping, heat embossing, die cutting and using this gorgeous organza ribbon!
For the water colour panel, I applied some distress inks to my craft sheet, spritzed a lot of water on to it and then lifted off the colour with my card stock.
The sentiment (heat embossed in black on the yellow DCWV All about the Girls cardstock) is such a happy one from Simon Says Stamp and the blue ribbon from my stash was just the perfect colour.

I would love to give this card to a kid going off to college or maybe to someone going overseas…
I just love this globe die from Die-versions…and it went perfectly with my map background from Impression Obsession. I heat embossed the sentiment (from Momenta) on a vellum panel and added the organza ribbon from my stash.

Wild About blue

Hello all!
I am playing with some awesome new papers from the Wild about Blue 6"x6"papaer packWild About Blue 6"x6" paper pack from Crafttangles for Craft Adda, the awesome online craft store!

For this card, I made some punch craft flowers with white paper as well as stacked some Thank you die cuts (from Penny black) to add dimension.
Card sketch from Retro sketches.
For this card, too, I made some punch craft flowers, but reversed the colours! I just love the look of the pretty blue flowers against the white tag! I finished the card with a simple stamped sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

For this card I went for strong background colours and pretty punched butterflies in light blue.
I added a simple sentiment stamp from Paper smooches to finish off the card.

Blue birthday

Hi. I am playing the ATCAS code word BLUE challenge with this shaker card.
Instead of using clear plastic I decided to use vellum withe heat embossed sentiment ( from Kaisercraft) for the shaker. I filled it up with blue sequins and added some blue crystals (brand new from my local market) to finish the card. This one was a quick and easy shaker!

Fabulous Balloons

Hey everyone!
I am playing the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge today. I have been wanting to try inlaid die cutting for a while, and decide to jump in!
The balloon dies are from Lawn Fawn and I was inspired by this video by Jennifer Mcguire.
I coloured the balloons with Tim Holtz distress inks and finished off the card with this fab sentiment from Hampton Art and hand drawn string.

I am also joing the NBUS '"Anything goes" challenge this week as I have never before used the ballon dies before!
