Vintage Roses

Ever since I bought this stamp set, I have been dying to use it and I finally did!!! I don't know why I waited so long!!!!
Its mesmerising how beautifully the colours come together! I followed the technique as demonstrated by Neha Bhatt.

I cut the edge using Mama elephant's landscape trio dies and added some printed paper for interest.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts…just love it! Its just that something more than just a happy birthday!

Anniversary Anthuriums

Hi!
I have a card today which I made with the Simon Says Stamp flickr challenge in mind.
the challenge is a colour challenge… Butter yellow, Blue sky, Rose pink and Lime green.
So here goes…

I first created a background using a Winnie and Walter stencil.  I stamped the image ( a really old wood block stamp) on watercolour paper and coloured it using Camel watercolours.
I then inked up my Happy stamp from Winnie and Walter with Tim Holtz's  worn lipstick marker, spritzed it with water and stamped it on the card stock to give it that water colour look.
I then added the other sentiments( from Winnie and Walter and and Hero Arts)  to finish the card.
I cut the panel using Simon Says Stamp's Stitched rectangles die in order to get the stitched effect at the top and bottom only.

Quite happy with the results!

Indigo birthday

A quick post this Tuesday morning!
Here is another indigo background that I made using Memories Unicorn white ink and the Crafters Workshop Mini Fish Scales stencil.
The Happy die is from Winnie and Walter  as is the rest of the sentiment which is heat embossed in black.
I cut the Happy out of a patterned  and textured card stock which was part of a wedding invite!

Motorcycle shaker

Hey there!
I made this quick motorcycle shaker card for the Friday Mashup challenge. I didn't make it a congrats card as I wanted to send it as a birthday card to my favourite uncle who loves bikes.

I created my own custom motorcycle theme printed paper, cut it out, and made a shaker using Simon Says Stamp Stitched rectangles.
The sentiment is beloved one from an old hero Arts cling stamp set.
It was quick and easy!
The metallic shaker sequins are from a stash collected a long long time ago!

I am also submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp  Monday challenge 'In the middle' .

Elephant themed cards

Hey!
I made these fun elephant themed cards a few days ago on order….

This cute little elephant is a cut using a cuttlebug die. The paper I used is a sheet of glossy photo paper which I coloured using wet wipes and photo inks. To give it added dimension, I popped up the elephant using a technique that Jennifer Mcguire demonstrated in this video recently.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the card stock is cut using simon Says stamp stitched squares dies.

This adorable elephant is a stamp from Kaisercraft which I fussy cut and to which I added a googly eye for fun. the flower stamp is from Stampendous.

This background stamp used here  is from Penny Black.  I inked up with Memento inks and spritzed with water  before stamping onto the card stock. the elephant die is from Cuttlebug, which I coloured using Memento London fog ink. The got the idea of creating a vellum bubble from this video by Jennifer Mcguire. The sentiment is a peel off sticker from Anita's stickers.

Hope you enjoyed these cards as much as I enjoyed making them.

I am submitting the first card for the
simon Says Stamp 'in the middle' Mondaychallenge.

Indigo Celebrate

I have been trying to create this effect of Indigo for a while..and couldn't figure it out. Today, it happened...just like that!
I used a stencil from Winnie and Walter and sponged over the blue card stock with Memories Unicorn white ink.
After I heat set it , I added the glasses (Paper Smooches wise dies) cut from patterned paper from Creative Imaginations, some self-adhesive gemstones and finished it off with a sentiment from Paper Smooches.

I made a couple more cards with this background, so watch this space for more posts!

Blue giraffe

Hi there!

I just love the way this card turned out... I was playing around with some stencils when I got this idea. The stencil is from 'istencils' and the white ink from Memories.
The little giraffe is a die from Cuttlebug, which I cut out of printed paper from Creative imaginations.
I popped it up with 3D tape for interest and finished up the card by heat embossing the sentiment
(brand new from Simon Says stamp) with white embossing powder from Hero Arts.
