Happy 60th..in orange!

Hey everyone!
I am playing the Dynamic Duos  and the CAS(E) This sketch challenge today.

Here, I have used the Newsprint Background stamp from Hero Arts stamped in Tangelo from Memento.
The embossed cupcake stamps are from Cuttlebug and I have used the faux letterpress technique (as seen on stamp tv) while embossing them with my favourite colour  from Versfine..Habanero!
The sentiment, I have put together using letters from the Hot of the Press 'Artsy ABC's' stamp set and Hero Arts 'fanciful swirl alphabet' stamp set. . I fussy cut the numbers and popped them up with some 3D foam tape, to create some interest.

Nice card isn't it?

Unrepeatable

It is 2 am and as I often tell people...I have no control over when an idea strikes!!
I went to bed a couple of hours ago, and then got this bright idea for a this card...and I had to get up and make it!

I have combined three challenges for this card...

The image is from  My Favourite things ' You are Unrepeatable' stamp set.
The other stamp sets that I have used are from Stampabilities, Paper smooches 'Vogue Abode' and Hero Arts Design blocks (in white on the shirt).

The shirt, I have stamped with Brilliance white archival ink on  pink handmade paper and paper pieced it.
As for the pants I stamped on green handmade paper, fussy cut them, embossed them with a cuttlebug folder  to add texture and paper pieced it onto the the image.
The Ipod is coloured with copic markers.
I coloured  the hair with Faber Castell colour pencils in shades of brown.
I stamped the shadow (in Versafine smokey gray ink) from the Paper Smooches 'vogue abode' stamp set, to ground my image.

Really love the way it has turned out...don't you!
Love to hear what you think!

I am also entering it for the Simon Says Stamp 'Anything Goes' challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Good night!

Sweet Doggie

Here is a quick card for the Less is More CAS  happy birthday card challenge.

I was inspired by Jen's card and just HAD TO pull out this cute doggie stamp from the Inkadinkado 'Gem Stone Dogs' set.
The sweet sentiment is from Verses rubber stamps.

Happy birthday Jen!!

Blue phone

Hello Everyone!

Happy Wednesday! The day I post for the Craft Adda blog!

Today I have a fun card for you...one made with repeated motifs. It's a great way to build up a background or just to make a CAS card.

Here I have used the vintage phone stamp from Hero Arts as my motif.
This card was made to order, hence the choice of colours...even a single colour would look great.

Inks are Habanero from Versafine and Bahama Blue from Memento.

I popped up one phone with 3D foam tape to give it some interest.

Thanks for stopping by...
Enjoy your day!

Crayon fun!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I've had this crayon box stamp from Verses rubber stamps for a while, and, when I saw the
Paper Smooches picture perfect challenge this week, I knew I had to use it!!

The sentiments are from the Paper Smooches 'Metropolis' stamp set and  from Verses rubber stamps.

To colour I have used Copic markers, Faber Castell colour pencils and Camel Oil Pastels.

Bright and cheerful, don't you think?!

I am also submitting it for the CAS-ual friday over the edge challenge.

Keep Calm...

Hello all!

For this card I used the Comfy armchair free digistamp from Jane's Doodles and I thought the sentiment from Technique tuesday's 'Eat chocolate' stamp set was perfect for this image.

I printed out the image onto white cardstock and coloured it using my copic markers. I then fussy cut the chair and adhered it 'over the edge' of the card.

The beautiful background stamp is from Hero Arts and the woodgrain stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Inks, as always, are from Memento...teal zeal, summer sky and rich cocoa.

Thanks so very much for stopping by!
Have a great evening!

Birthday Bling!

I made this card for my daughter's birthday.
She is 11 and very into pink, peace signs and bling!!

So I got out my Technique Tuesday 'Sign of the times' stamp set, my memento inks...lulu lavender, angel pink, rosebud, and lilac posies and went to work!

I also wanted to use an animal print background so as I did not have the required paper decided to create it.
For this I used my Stampendous marble textures block.
I stamped and ebossed the marble texture on pink cardstock with black embossing powder.
I then cut out the scallops using my Spellbinders classic scallops die and finished off the card with some bling.

The sentiments ae from hero Arts and Studio G.

Postcard Tag

Here is a card I made today for the tag challenge at A Blog named Hero.

I drew inspiration for this card, from a card that I saw on a blog...unfortunately I don't seem to have saved the link.

To make the tag I used the post card stamp  and the postmark stamp from the Lawn Fawn 'You've Got Mail' stamp set.
All the other stamps are from the Hero Arts 'Birthday Messages' stamp set.
To create the background, I placed three sentiments together on a stamping block and stamped them together with Versafine smokey gray on the kraft card.
I then distressed the card, the postcard and the cord with Tim Holtz brushed cordruoy  distress ink to finish it off.

Fun isn't it?!

Enjoy!!

Grafitti Greetings!

This challenge really made me work!!!!
I love that I was able to make exactly what I had in mind!!!
I made this card for the Friday Mashup challenge using the brickwall technique
It's a fun but time consuming technique when doing it for the first time...hopefully it will be easier the next time I try it!!

I started by stamping  the Impression Obsession brick background stamp in Memento's  Rich cocoa ink on yellow cardstock.
I then stamped my 'grafitti'...stamps from  Die-namics Masculine Graphic Tee and stamp set.
Next, I  cut out the 'bricks' and lay them on the two panels which I also stamped with the brick background.
I distressed the bricks individually and the panel with Tim Holtz Brushed Cordruoy distress ink.

A fun card for anyone and any ocassion, I think!!

Kissing Technique

Hello everyone! Been away from my table for a while...back problems, internet issues...other miscellaneous reasons!!
But I'm back with a fun card!

Today, I have an interesting technique which I learned a while ago from Hero Arts.
It is called the 'Kissing Technique' with stamps.

For this I used the solid chair stamp from Lawn Fawn 'Dad's day' stamp set and inked it up with Crimson Ink from Versafine.
I then stamped over the stamp (kissed it) without ink using the damask patterned stamp from Inkadinkado.
That removed some of the ink from the stamp and created a pattern.
I then stamped it on card stock, cut it out and popped it on an embossed background (cuttlebug embossing folders) with 3D foam tape along with a cool sentiment from Hero Arts.

Makes for a fun card for a really special person!!

Have a go with this technique...you will find it here
