Vintage grunge

Hey there!
Today I have three cards which I have made using the Vintage Grunge paper set  from Craft Tangles, for Craft Adda.

This paper set is hugely out of my comfort zone and was very challenging!
I love the out come though...I've made cards which are different from my usual style...I hope you enjoy them and are inspired to create some of your own!

For the first card, I used one large sheet of printed paper from the set and one thin strip.
I used some Washi tape to cover the joint and then stamped the mason jar and cutlery (from PTI friendship jar fillers) and sentiment ( from Stampendous)on the printed paper.
I punched holes and threaded some twine through the panel to finish the card.
I then popped this panel onto a kraft card with 3D tape to finish the card.
I really like this card...subtle and nice.

For this card, I distressed the edges of all the panels that I used and coloured the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks.
I created a monoprint panel using distress inks, water and a stencil for the blue happy birthday panel( sentiment stamp from Stampendous).
I used the blue colour so that the blue bird on the chair would pop!
The small panel was cut from one of the sheets of paper, distressed and adhered to the card panel.
I finished off the card with a brass butterfly and some twine.
Really happy with the result.

For he last card, I used two different papers.
I tore the edges to distress them and then popped them onto a background panel which I created using some background stamps from Winnie and Walter and Impression Obsession,
I finished off the card with some stamped balloons,  the sentiment and a graduation cap brad.
A nice card to give a kid who is going off to college maybe?!

Citrus with a twist!

Hey there!
I am playing the Simon Says Stamp "Citrus with a twist" challenge today with this card.

I just love the sentiment stamp from Verses rubber stamps! I don't use it very often, but it was perfect for this challenge. The lemons  are from the Stampendous 'little fruit' stamp set and the brads are from recollections.
I used  Faber Castell colour pencil and Windsor and Newton watercolour cakes to paint my background.
The heat embossed sentiment panel is popped up with double sided foam tape to give it some added dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great weekend…I have a busy one..entertaining the kids! ;-)

Keep Swimming!

Hi there!
I have been away from my blog for a while…my mojo seems to have gone on holiday!
So,I decided to play the Casology, Cue word, Aquatic challenge to try and get it back!
I struggled a bit, but, I like the end result!

I had bought the fish stamp set from Unity stamp co sometime ago and am happy I got a chance to use it today.

I created a shaker panel using Windsor and Newton water colours and Marvy water colour markers. I used my Signo gold and white pens to colour the fish in order to make it pop.
I finished it by adding transparent blue sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by…
Have a good evening!

Precious Friend

A quick post for the Craft Adda blog to celebrate friendship day!
I made this quick card today to celebrate this special day dedicated to all my precious friends!

To make this card, I applied some Tim Holtz distress inks to my craft sheet and sprayed some water on them.
When they were diluted and watery, I took a piece of card stock and placed it lightly on the ink and removed it almost immediately.
I repeated this process to make many background pieces of card stock.
A little ink goes a long way!!!
I then stamped  the gem stone motifs and the sentiment  from the Winnie and Walter "my precious" stamp set and added some sparkly gemstones.
I placed the card stock on a kraft card to finish the card.
A quick and easy card…easy to make multiples!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you had a great friendship day!
