A FRAME AND CARD FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM...

I made this photoframe and card for my cousin to gift her nephew on his wedding day.
As I live in Mumbai and the wedding was in Hyderabad, a friend agreed to carry it for me to Hyderabad. Unfortunately, she left the parcel in the loo at Hyderabad airport!!
So, this is the only memory of my work that I have!

The photoframe has a gold embossed background with quilled roses and swirls.
On the card, I've used the Sizzix "Cherry Blossom Branch" die and the swirls Cuttlebug folder.
I printed out the sentiment on vellum and sandwiched it between the card stock.
I added some pearls and beads for dimension.

I am really proud of the way the card turned out...I made the box for the card too!
Thanks for stopping by...Hope you like what you see..

BOX BAGS

Inspired by an activity in the "big book oF Papercrafts" by Vivienne Bolton,
we made these cute box bags this week. To decorate, the kids used the paper weaving and quilling that they learnt earlier.
They turned out quite well, don't you think?!

EMBOSS RESIST PHOTO FRAMES

Here is a photo frame I made last week using the fabulous emboss resist technique. the stamp I used is the "Cling Jumbo Peony set" from Stampendous. I used "Victorian Velvet", "Worn Lipstick", and "Crushed Olive" distress inks from TimHoltz. The effect, I thought, is spectaculour!
P.S. : The photos of the couple were taken by me!

Here is another frame I made...also using the emboss resist technique. Here I used the lace stamp from Hero Arts for the background along with "Tim Holtz Vintage photo" distress ink .
the flowers were made by distressing white vellum with "Vintage Photo" distress ink and manipulating it into shape.
It turned out to be the perfect frame for this perfect picture of us friends!

I'M BACK!

I've been MIA for a while! Schools out for the summer, most of my students have are away, and I am catching up with a lot of pending projects!

Here is a frame I made more than a year ago...couldn't bear to sell it..Just found a picture which I feel is perfect for it...hubby dearest doesn't agree, but my son does!!! (these days if a 13 year old agrees with me on something, its a bonus!)

Have a look and do let me know what you think...
