Inspired by Pinterest

I am taking an idea from Ardyth-Percy-robb to make a card inspired by a photo on her Pinterest board.

This was a wedding invitation for my niece and I made 35 of them in 24 hours!!! That was quite a feat and the whole family pitched in!

I made the flowers by punching scalloped circles from red and pink vellum and layering them. I also crumpled them for texture.
I held them together with black brads from Recollections.
The background was using my Cuttlebug embossing folder, the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp "Tilted Banner stamp and die set". the dragon flies were punched from vellum too.

I had so much fun making this card and it was much appreciated by all who received it.

OCC..watercolouring an embossed image.

Oh! I had so much fun with this technique that I learnt on Online Card Classes!
The technique was to emboss using a wafer thin die and then watercolour it!
To do this I used a Memory box die and a cottage Cutz die.
The sandwich ..A plate, B plate, tan mat, paper, die-cutting side down, tan mat, B plate, 2-3 sheets of card stock
I ran this through my cuttlebug and got the most fantastic impression!

Here's what I made...

The banner and sentiment are from the Simon Says stamp Tilted banners stamp and die set.

die..Cottage Cutz doily.
Sentiment...Hampton Art.
I am submitting these cards for "The Paper Players" Wedding challenge and the Clean&Simple challenge 293.

Baby best!

Good morning everyone!
Today I have a cute baby card which I made on order for a friend. I wanted to submit it for the Case Study challenge 178 but  I missed the deadline by a few days! :(

I love the way the card turned out though...I had been struggling with it for a few days!

The flower die is from Spellbinders, the little baby is a ready made embellishment from a local market, the cute little charms are from my shopping in Mexico and the stamps and banner die are from the Simon says stamp and Memory box tilted banners stamp and die set.

I found this cute baby's eyes follow you whichever way you turn the card! Such fun!

Hot Balloons

As I said, my head is bizzing with ideas today!
Here is card, which I am so very happy with!!

The stamps I used here are  Newsprint Cityscape Design Blocks from hero Arts, Marble Texture block from Stampendous, and the Tilted banners stamp and die set from Simon Says stamp.
The hot air balloons are free digital download, which I coloured with Copics and watercolours.

I am submitting this card for the Simon Says Stamp 'Monday Challenge'.

I like to think of how I would use a card, when I make it.
To me, this seems like a perfect anniversary, wedding, anew home or agoing away card.

Can you think of any more occassions?

Teacup smile

I have a quick card here which I made for the Friday Mashup challenge today.

The Challenge is to use elements which begin with A,B and C and /or use the 1,2,3 receipe, that is
use 1 embellishment, 2 stamp sets and 3 colours.

For A,B,C part of my card, I used the colour Aged Mahogany distress ink from Tim Holtz to stamp the sentiment on the Banner and a Cup as the motif.

For my 1,2,3 receipe, I used the banner (from the Simon Says Stamp 'tilted banners die and stamp set') as an embellishment.

The 2 stampsets that I have used are, the  Simon Says Stamp 'tilted banners die and stamp set', and the  the Technique Tuesday 'Eat Chocolate' stamp set.

The 3 colours that I have used are 'Dandelion' from Memento, 'Habanero' from Versafine and 'Aged Mahogany' from Tim Holtz.

To create interest, I cut the top flap of the card and placed the banner on the inside of the card.
for the purpose of photographing the card, I have stuck the top flap down.
