Casing an awesome card

Today I have CASEd an awesome card that I came across on Pinterest. Its by Desiree Spenst and you can her awesome work  here.
Here is her card…

And here is my take…

Since I didn't have the sentiment stamp, I used individual alphabet stamps from the HeroArts 'small variety alphabet' stamp set and the 'fanciful swirl alphabet' stamp set, to create the sentiment.
The shoes are from a very old stamp set…don't have a name, sorry!
The die cut letters are cut using the Cuttlebug alphabet dies.

I made this for a friend to gift to parents of twins…I hope they liked it!
It is very tongue in cheek and cheerful!

Using one stamp two ways

Hi all!
Today I made two cards…using the same stamp.

For the first card I prepared a water colour background and then stamped the flowers and the sentiment. really simple…really fast!

For the second card I stamped the flowers on white card stock, water coloured them and then cut out the flower partially so that it could hang off the edge.
I then created a panel using Tim Holtz's woodgrain layering stencil and white ink. I just love the look of that panel.I added a sentiment and put the card together using 3D  foam tape.

The sentiments are from Fiskars and the flower stamp is from Stampendous.
Inks are from Versafine and Brilliance.

Candy jar Shaker!

The shaker card fever is still on as you can see!!
Ever since I bought this candy jar die from memory box, I have been visualising this card!
I die cut some fun foam with the same die and placed it behind the front panel to create the shaker box.

Just for fun, I punched out tiny circles of coloured vellum with my punch bunch punch and used them in the shaker box.
I just love the translucent colours…looks just like candy!
The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts.

Recycled wrapping paper flowers

Hi everyone!
I am playing the Paper Players challenge this evening!
This theme was truly a challenge..I just didn't know where to start!!!

Then, I started clearing up some of the mess in my craft room and almost threw out this gorgeous wrapping paper that a visiting friend had wrapped my daughter's christmas present in!
Suddenly, just like that, it all came together!!!!! Has that ever happened to you???

I chose the medium geranium punch from Punch Bunch and punched out 12 petals, which I then manipulated with my embossing tool. I placed one layer of petals with the gold side up and alternated it with a layer with the red side up. I cut the leaves using my sizzix die.

The background panel was from my scraps…embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder.
The sentiment is from Kaisercraft, which I stamped with Versafine Crimson Red and gave a gold border with my gold signo pen.

Have a great evening!

Heart shaker card

I can't seem to get enough of making shaker cards!!!
I saw this awesome video by 'just-one-more-card.com' yesterday and I just had to try it!!!
It was difficult and I made a lot of mistakes as I went along, but I finally got it!
I just love the result!!

All the instructions are in the video, so I will list the supplies I used…

The heart die is from Sizzix
The stamps are from MFT (Simply fabulous sayings)
                                 PTI  (Phrase play)
                                 Hero Arts (small variety alphabet)
                                 Lawn Fawn (Science of Love)
I used little round beads from my stash in the shaker.

Mason jar shaker card.

Hey there!
I have decided to play three fun challenges today….they were fun but very challenging for me!!!

I am playing the 'CAS-ual Friday felt and sequins' challenge, the 'retrosketches RS147' challenge and the 'Fusion Card challenge'...where I have been inspired by the pink colours and the mason jar in the photo.

To make this card, I used the Papertrey ink mason jar die to cut out the window for the shaker. Instead of filling it with sequins, I decided to punch out little pink safety pins with a punch I have and put them in. The background stamp is one from a set I bought second hand…so don't know which company it is from. The 'BABY' sentiment is from the same set and I hand wrote the word 'welcome'.
The stars are felt and cut with my spellbinders nest abilities star die and I added some sequins to finish off the card.

It was hard to step out of my comfort zone to make this card, but I am thrilled with the result!

Nicest Thoughts

Good morning!
I made this card for a very very dear aunt on her birthday.
I saw Kristina Werner make a similar panel on online card classes, and decided to try it…
I embossed the panel using the Papertrey ink die. Once embossed I coloured the panel using Camel artists water colour cakes.
The awesome sentiment is a woodblock stamp from Hero Arts which I fussy cut and popped up with 3 D tape to finish the card.

I haven't heard back from my aunt yet, but I hope she enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed making it!
