Mason jar shaker card.

Hey there!
I have decided to play three fun challenges today….they were fun but very challenging for me!!!

I am playing the 'CAS-ual Friday felt and sequins' challenge, the 'retrosketches RS147' challenge and the 'Fusion Card challenge'...where I have been inspired by the pink colours and the mason jar in the photo.

To make this card, I used the Papertrey ink mason jar die to cut out the window for the shaker. Instead of filling it with sequins, I decided to punch out little pink safety pins with a punch I have and put them in. The background stamp is one from a set I bought second hand…so don't know which company it is from. The 'BABY' sentiment is from the same set and I hand wrote the word 'welcome'.
The stars are felt and cut with my spellbinders nest abilities star die and I added some sequins to finish off the card.

It was hard to step out of my comfort zone to make this card, but I am thrilled with the result!

Nicest Thoughts

Good morning!
I made this card for a very very dear aunt on her birthday.
I saw Kristina Werner make a similar panel on online card classes, and decided to try it…
I embossed the panel using the Papertrey ink die. Once embossed I coloured the panel using Camel artists water colour cakes.
The awesome sentiment is a woodblock stamp from Hero Arts which I fussy cut and popped up with 3 D tape to finish the card.

I haven't heard back from my aunt yet, but I hope she enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed making it!

One layer simplicity

Happy Sunday everyone!
I have made a card for the One Layer Simlicity Challenge OLS12 today.

I have used a stamp set from Stampendous which I have had for ever but never used. I finally managed to make a card with it and I am s happy with the result.
This challenge calls for the use of opposites and I have decided to go with opposite colours…Red and Green and Black and White.
The images are coloured with Camel artists watercolour cakes.

I am also entering this card for the NBUS (never used before stuff) challenge.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year people!
Its my blog anniversary!!!
I can't believe it's been 4 years since I started my blog!
It has been an awesome ride and thanks so very much to all of you wonderful friends who stop by to read my blog posts!

Here's my post for today…also my official post for Craftadda…India's foremost hobby store!

I am linking this card to the Craft Adda Winter Sale-Buy,Create, Share Contest!

A New Year postcard that I made for a few friends…postcards are so much fun to make and so easy to mail! And so easy to make multiples too!

The lights stamp is one of my oldest stamps and is from Rubber Stampede.
I stamped the image and coloured it with camel watercolours.
For the numbers, I didn't have a number stamp that was bold enough, so I die cut the 2015 using Lawn Fawn's Quinn's 123 die set. Using it as a stencil I applied versa mark embossing ink to the postcard and embossed it with gold embossing powder.
The sentimento are from the Hero Arts 'its your day' stamp set and 'holiday sayings' stamp set. The sparkle is from Papertrey Ink's 'Sparkle and Shine' stamp set.

I was thrilled with the result! A great way to end 2014…they all went in the mail yesterday!

Merry Christmas!

This is my only Christmas card/tag of this season!

We have been busy with family issues, so didn't have a chance to make any,  but when I saw all the Christmas posts online today I couldn't resist!

The tag is cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities, the image and sentiment are from Hero Arts. The trees are a stamp I had created years ago.

I got my daughter to hold it up in from of the tree so that I could capture the bokeh effect!

Here's wishing all you wonderful people a very Merry  and blessed Christmas!

A water colour card

Hi!
Today I have a card that I made using Art Impressions watercolour rubber stamps. and Watercolour and distress markers. tutorials can be found on the Art Impressions website.
I used Cotman watercolour paper to create the panel and a silky multicoloured ribbon to make it look pretty! The panel is cut using Spellbinders nestabilities dies
:-)
For the background, I used a Clear Scrap stencil with Memento Summer sky ink.
To Finish I added a sentiment from Hero Arts.
