Valentine week- day1

Hey friends!
I am making Valentine cards all week this week!
Here is my first one…

I made this card after being inspired by this video by Kristina Werner. It is something totally out of my comfort zone, but I like the  wait turned out.
I created the background by applying distress ink onto my Crafter's Workshop mini retro squares stencil, spritzing it with water and placing the paper over it to pick up the colour. You can make many panels like this at one time as all the ink does not come off at once.
The papers are from an old holiday set…don't have the name unfortunately.
The buttons are from my stash.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp…a stamp set designed by Kristina Werner.

Thanks so much for stopping by…
Have a great day!

CAS happy birthday

Good morning! I have a simple CAS birthday card for you today.

The stamp set is from Stampendous 'Garden Box Set'. It s is one that I haven't used often before and I like the simplicity of this card.
I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp the image and Camel watercolours to colour the images. I then added self adhesive rhinestones to add some interest.

I am posting this card on the pre-class gallery over at Online Card Classes Clean and Simple 4

Taheerah's new challenge!

I am so excited to play Taheerah's 'Cure for the Monday blues #40' challenge on her blog!

Here is the inspiration image…

And here is my take…

I had made this card way back in June for my daughters birthday, but remade it now using fun foam for the shaker.
Thanks to the foam, I love the way there are individual shakers within the words! so much fun!
the stamp and die are the 'Phraseplay' set from Paper trey Ink and the sequins are from the local bazaar!
Inks are from Memento.

Have a great day!

Hey!
I am also playing the Winnie and Walter !st birthday bash One challenge with Shay today.

The challenge is to use One of anything, so  I have used One sheet of patterned paper from Winnie and Walter free Christmas bundle and one stamp set from Papertrey ink.
The butterfly die is from Spellbinders  and the speech bubble die is from Paper Smooches.

I just love the way it has turned out!
Thanks for stopping by!

Playing a challenge at Winnie &Walter!

Hey everyone!
Today I am playing a challenge at Winnie&Walter! This is a first for me as I hadn't heard of this brand till I came across some blogposts.

They have many challenges going on, and the one I am playing is the colour combo challenge with Heather.
The colour combo was white,aqua/mint,silver/grey and blue.
As Idid not have any Winnie and Walter products, I downloaded their freebie papers and using this gorgeous paper from their Christmas set.
The cycle is from memory box dies and the sentiment is a woodblock stamp from Momenta.
For the vellum balloons I used my trusted old Carla Craft balloon punch!

Sorry, the image isn't the best…just couldn't get the lighting right with this one!
It looks a lot prettier in real life!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great evening!

I used a doily die cut, cut with my die from cottage cuts for my focal image and added a handmade punch craft flower for interest.(made using punch bunch punches)
To add interest to the pink doily, I stamped over it using Brilliance white ink and a texture stamp.

Quick and simple…hope you like it.
