Craftangles Love Challenge.

Welcome to the Craftangles 'LOVE' challenge!

Today, I have used Craftangles stamps, stencils and printed element packs to make  three quick and simple Valentine cards. 

Enjoy them and I hope that you will be inspired to play along with the challenge.

My first card is super simple.

I die cut the cute image from the Craftangles Elements Pack, Sweet Love 2 using a stitched square die and adhered it to a 5"x5" folded card make out of  Craftangles Black card stock.

I added some Craftangles clear sequins to finish the card.

For the second card, I stamped and watercoloured the cute girl from the 

Craftangles Sweet Love stamp set and fussy cut the image. I then created a stencilled background using the Craftangles sunburst stencil.

I stmaped the sentiment and adhered the fussy cut image to the base using 3Dfoam tape.

I adhered this card topper to a Craftangles Rich Red card stock.

I used some Crafangles clear sequins to finish the card.

For the third card, I die cut this cute smore's image from the Craftangles 'sweet Love 2' element pack, matted it with pink card stock

and adhered it to a 6"x4"  white card base.

As there was some space, I die cut three hearts  to create some interest.

Merry Christmas!

Hello! 

It's almost time for Christmas!!

Today, I've made three Christmas cards using Craftangles liquid watercolours, stamps and stencils.

I also have start to finish videos for the same!

For the first card, I used the bauble stamps from the Craftangles 'Christmas Ornaments' stamp set.

I stamped them with Antique Linen distress ink and tried some no line watercolouring.

To create the background, I used the Christmas ornaments stencil and Tim Holtz distress inks. I darkened the edges to create a 'glow' in the centre. I love this technique as it creates a spotlight on the focal image. I've done this for all the cards.

I used some gold mirror card stock to cut out the blows and string and finished the card with a simple sentiment from the Craftangles 'Holly Jolly Christmas' stamp set.

For the second card, I stamped the beautiful focal image from the Holly Jolly stamp set and used the Craftangles liquid watercolours to try some no line watercoloring. 

Once coloured, I fussy cut the image and used 3D foam tape to adhere it to a stencilled background. Stencil used is the brand new 'Diagonal plaid' stencil from Craftangles. 

I used the same sentiment on all three cards, as I was feeling lazy to pick out another one!

For the last card, I watercolored and fussy cut the cute Santa from

the Craftangles 'Merry Christmas' stamp set.

I then made the background using the Craftangles 'Bricks' stencil.

Here too I darkened the edges to create a 'glow'.

I added flecks of white paint to finish the card.

Craftangles Christmas Challenge

Welcome to the Craftangles Christmas challenge!

You will find all the details for the challenge at the link above.

 I hope the projects Ive made for you today will inspire you join in.

All the cards Ive made today are really simple and quick..as is my style.

I have used background papers from the Craftangles 'Merry Christmas' 6"x6" paper pack and focal images from the Craftangles Christmas Animals and Watercolour Christmas  element packs.

I first die cut each of the backgrounds using stitched rectangle dies.

I then used the smaller rectangle die from the same die set to cut out a piece of 

Craftangles plain vellum. 

I layered these pieces one on top of the other and then added the fussy cut printed element with 3D foam tape as the focal point.

 I also added some gold thread and sequins on some of the cards for interest.

I hope you'll enjoyed my cards as much as I enjoyed making them.

Anything goes challenge from Craftangles

Welcome to the Craftangles 'Anything goes' challenge this month!

After a busy Diwali month, we thought you could have fun with this simple and easy challenge.

For this months challenge Im playing with the "Hello Lovely" stamp set from Craftangles.

I had so much fun colouring the lotuses in the set using the Craftangles liquid watercolours.

Festive Lights

Hello!

Have you seen the brand new stamp set from Craftangles?

It's called 'Festive lights' and had the most adorable string of lights, inside colour stamps and sentiments for Diwali and Christmas!

So, today, I've made a few cards to showcase this set.

For the first card, I stamped and coloured a whole bunch of the little bulbs. I then fussy cut them and arranged them on a simple black background. 

To create the background, I used some distress oxide ink to create a subtle glow on the black card stock. I then splattered some white paint on the same.

I then arranged the light bulbs and added a heat embossed sentiment to finish the card.

For the second card, I stamped the string of lights around the edges of the square piece of card.

I then watercoloured the bulbs and added some multicoloured splatter. 

I painted, fussy cut and adhered the gifts with a piece of 3D foam tape.

I added a simple sentiment to finish the card.

For the third card, I stamped the string of lights twice to create a border at the top of a 6"x4" piece of cardstock. I then watercoloured the bulbs.

I dabbed on Tim Holtz 'Mustard Seed' distress ink all over the card, to create a glow.

I then added some paint splatter and a simple sentiment to finish the card.

As you can see, the possibilities of this stamp set are endless!

Craftangles Monthly Challenge #10 'Festivals'

Welcome to the Craftangles Monthly Challenge #10.

This month we are making cards for festivals.

You will find all the challenge details here...do play along!

For cards one and two, I started with a stencilled background using the Craftangles 'Swirly Circle'

stencil and Tim Holtz distress inks. I then stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut the diyas from the Craftangles 'Happy Diwali' stamp set. 

For the first card, I adhered them to two die cut circles (these were left overs from and earlier card, which I had made using the Craftangles 'Rays' stencil and Craftangles white texture paste.)

I then added some self adhesive gem stones to finish the card.

For the second card, I stamped a sentiment from the Craftangles 'Diwali Sentiments' stamp set, adhered the two diyas to the stencilled background and added Craftangles sequins to finish the card.

For cards three and four, I started by creating a background using the Craftangles 'Swirly circle' stencil and Tim Holtz  distress inks.

For the focal image, I used the Craftangles 'Small Ganeshas' stencil and Tim Holtz 'Carved Pumkin' and 'Fiery Brick' distress inks. I adhered it to the background using fun foam. I then finished the card with  silver thread, green metallic sequins and die cut leaves from My Favourite Things.

I loved making these cards...I hope you love them too and will be inspired to play along with our monthly challenge "Festivals".

Fun with Mandalas

Hello!!

Did you know that Craftangles has the most amazing Mandala stencils?

For my Diwali cards today, I decided to use a their stencils to create some different backgrounds.

The cards are pretty simple and very quick and easy to make so I will list the supplies as I go along. If you have any questions as to my method, please leave me a comment.

Card 1: Stencil: Mandala reloaded, blended with Tim holtz 'Mustard seed' distress ink .

Stamp: Happy Diwali , Diwali Sentiments

The Om die cut is cut from gold mirror cardstock

Diwali Diyas

I have the first of my 2019 Diwali cards here for you today!

It seems as though, diyas are my theme this year..my hand has been drawn only to the various diyas that I had from my Craftangles stamp sets! 

I have not added any sentiments.. somehow, I didn't feel like doing so.

For the first card, I started out with a die cut square of gold mirror cardstock. I die cut the sunburst (memeory box die) and added the panel to a white card panel with 3D foam tape to give it dimension.

I then stamped and watercoloured the diya from the Craftangles  'diwali wishes' stamp set  

and added it to the centre with 3D foam tape.

I just love how it turned out.

For the second card, I started by inkblending Tim Holtz 'Mustard seed' ink through the Craftangles 'Mandala reloaded' stencil, onto a piece of white cardstock. I left the centre white to create a glow.

I then stamped and watercolored and fussy cut the lotuses (on Craftangles watercolour paper) from 

the Craftangles 'Hello Lovely' stamp set along with a diya from the Craftangles 'Happy Deepavali' stamp set.

I then arranged them on the mandala background to finish the card.

For the third card, I started by ink blending Tim Holtz 'Fired Brick' and 'Carved Pumpkin' onto a square white card stock panel using Craftangles 'Leaf lace' stencil. I love how it sits beautifully on a square panel.

Once coloured, I gold embossed a little diya from the Craftangles 'Diwali Sentiments' stamp set and fussy cut it and adhered it in the centre of the mandala with 3D foam tape.

Its simple, but I think it packs a punch.

Craftangles 'Birthday' Challenge!

Welcome to the Craftangles 'Birthday' Challenge for the month of August!

I have some birthday cards to inspire you to play today.

For the first two cards, I used a technique demonstrated  by Kristina Werner recently.

I used make up brushes (from Amazon) to do the ink blending! Khyati had suggested these brushes, and OMG! they are the best for ink blending!!!

For the first card, I started of by blending Distress inks through the Craftangles 'flower cluster' stencil onto the background panel of Craftangles white cardstock. I then die cut the large numbers in Craftangles earl grey card stock and white cardstock, and layered them. I then stamped and die cut the sentiment panels and adhered them with 3D foam tape. I added some clear Craftangles sequins to finish the card.

For the second card, I first used the newly released Craftangles masking paper to cut out the number 50 and adhered it to the Craftangles white card base. I then  blended the background colours onto the Craftangles white cardstock panel. After blending the colours, I used the same stencil as the card above, to blend more colour onto the card base. This gave it tone on tone look.

Once done, I removed the mask and added a stamped sentiment along with some clear sequins to finish the card.

For the second set of cards, I used simple stencilling and combined it with floral die cuts and liquid watercolours.

For these cards, I started by stencilling (Herrringbone) the background with a light blending of Black soot distress ink. I used Craftangles liquid watercolours to paint a piece of watercolour carstock and then die cut the flowers. I combined the coloured flowers with white diecuts and then sprinkled them with some more watercolour.

I finished the card with some jute twine and some sequins and resin beads and a simple sentiment.

The next card is a simple shaker. I used the Craftangles rays stencil for the background and then cut out the number 50. I made this into a simple shaker and added the 

Craftangles 'designer denim' sequins mix.

A bold sentiment and a few sequins adhered to the outside, finished this card.

For the last card, I experimented with the newly released Craftangles alcohol ink paper and Craftangles liquid watercolours.

They work beautifully, but take some time to dry. Once semidry, I added some gold foil to the paper. It stuck to the parts where more ink had collected.

I then die cut this panel and adhered it to a white card base with a floral die cut and a birthday sentiment to finish the card.
