 Here is my take on the challenge..I hope you are inspired to play along!

 I made a few mini notecards and a couple of gift tags using the newly released Craftangles 'Hug Me' stamp set,  patterned papers from the 'Vintage Rosette' 6"x6"paper pack' and the newly released Craftangles stencils 'Heart mesh', 'Chit chat' and 'Quilted hearts'. 

Quick love cards using patterned papers

Hello!

Today I have some quick and easy love cards  which I made using 

the Craftangles 'Be My Valentine and 'All For Love Vol 2' patterned paper packs.

For the first card, I die cut a sheet of black and white patterned paper  using Simon Says Stamp square stitched dies and adhered it to a white card stock panel. I then die cut a heart using a sheet of red patterned paper and adhered this to the panel using 3D foam tape. I added a mini wooden clip and some resin dots for interest. 

The sentiment is from the Craftangles 'Will You Be Mine' stamp set. I cut apart the words of the stamp in order to make them fit in the space that I wanted to stamp them in.

For the second card, I started by adhering a patterned paper panel to the 6"x4" card base.

I then cut out two elements from the Craftangles 'Be my Valentine' elements pack and adhered them to the card. I added some Craftangles 'clear shimmer' sequins to add some interest.

For the third card, I used patterned paper to adhered to the card base. I then die cut the dancers using the red patterned paper from the paper pack. I then adhered a printed element from 

the Craftangles 'Be My Valentine' elements pack as well as some Craftangles 'ruby' sequins  to finish the card.

For the final card, I started by adhering the die cut patterned paper panel to the card base. I then stamped and fussy cut the cute image from the Craftangles 'You and Me' stamp set. I watercoloured just the hearts so as to make the image pop.

I used 3D foam tape to adhere the image to the card.

I stamped the sentiment (Paper Smooches) onto the patterned paper and added some 

Craftangles 'Clear shimmer' sequins to finish the card.

Diecutting and stencilling with glimmer paste

Hello!

I've been having so much fun with Craftangles glimmer pastes this month!!

I also decided to play with the Tiffany inspired colours..aqua, white, gold and black.

Here is what I came up with!

For my first card, I started out by stencilling a cardstock panel with Tim Holtz 'Cracked Pistachio' and Craftangles 'Gold Dust' glimmer paste and the Craftangles 'dots' stencil.

I then die cut the word 'Happy' using the Winnie and Walter die and created a simple shaker card, filling it with Craftangles 'clear shimmer' sequins.

I added a stamped and fussy cut Altenew  layered rose to add some colour. I finished the card with a white heat embossed birthday sentiment on black card.

Its hard to photograph the gold glimmer, but the card looks really pretty.

For the next two cards,

I started out by creating two patches of card using 

Craftangles 'Gold dust' glimmer paste and Tim Holtz 'Cracked Pistachio' distress ink.

I did this in order to use these panels to die cutting.

For the second card, I started by creating a card panel using 

Craftangles 'Fairy dust' glimmer paste and Craftangles 'Abstract stencil'.

I used the gold glimmer panel I made to die cut the Flora and Fauna 

Volkswagon beetle car. I also die cut the same using some craft foam,

which I used to give the card some dimension.

 I then encircled the car with the My Favourite Things Happy birthday die cut, cut from

Cratangles Aqua cardstock.

I finished the card with a white embossed sentiment on black cardstock.

Again, its hard to photograph the glimmer, but its Oh so pretty!

For the last card, I was inspired by this card I saw on Instagram.

I loved the look of layered balloons and decided to try it myself.

I used the aqua and gold glimmer card stock I created to die cut the balloons (From Lawn Fawn) . 

I further inked the aqua balloons to add some dimension. 

I prepared the card panel using Craftangles 'stripes' stencil and Craftangles 'Charcoal' texture paste.

Once the panel was dry, I adhered the balloons and the sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp) and finished the card with some shiny black sequins.

I really love how these cards turned out..I hope you like them too.

Stencils and Texture paste.

Hello! 

I 'm so excited to use a brand new Craftangles product! 

The Craftangles Black Charcoal texture paste and Craftangles Glimmer paste.
Both these products are just amazing and so much fun to use to use! I hope you will give them a try!

I've put together a few process videos, so I apologise for the length of this post.

I created a panel using Craftangles 'skyblue' card stock, geometric flowers stencil and the black texture paste. The results are amazing..as you can see.

Immediately after using the paste, I washed off the stencil with water and dish soap. 

Once dry, the texture paste is hard to remove.

I die cut the stencilled panel with Simon Says Stamp stitched circle die and adhered it to the centre of a square white card. 

I stamped an fussy cut these beautiful gerberas (from Unity stamp co.) and adhered them to the card along with some glass beads to finish.

I haven't added a sentiment, so I can use this card for any occassion.

For the second card, I created a panel using the 'Overlapping circles' stencil from Craftangles and the Black Charcoal texture paste. I then die cut the panel using Simon Says Stamp stitched square dies, matted it with black cardstock and adhered it to a square white card,

using fun foam to add some dimension.

I stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut the meditating frog from Stampendous 'Frog Yoga' stamp set

and added it to the panel. 

I think it really pops against that black background.

I finished the card with a sentiment from Flora and Fauna.

Here is a close up of the texture paste.

For the third card, I decided to create a black on black panel.

I used the Charcoal texture paste with the Craftangles stacked blocks stencil.

The result was brilliant..

Once the panel had dried, I decided to add some pop!

I stamped and fussy cut images from my brand new Sunny Studios 'Berry bliss' stamp set.

Once I arranged them on the background, I added some white paint splatter to add some interest.

This is really one of my most favourite cards and I'm so happy to share it with you.

Here is a detail photo of the gorgeous black on black background!

For the 4th card, I started with a square piece black cardstock from Craftangles, the Craftangles fireworks stencil and Craftangles Glimmer pastes 'Lemon zest', 'Orange peel' and 'Amethyst'.

The fireworks these pastes created are just beautiful!!

After some thought, I stamped and fussy cut this fun image from Art Impressions and added it to the panel and card base. 

I couldn't think of a sentiment, so I've left it for now...I wonder who this card will go to!

Floral Birthday Cards

Hello!

I have some pretty floral birthday cards for my DT post on the HNDMD blog today!

I used the awesome Craftangles 'Congratulations' and 'Everyday Sentiments' stamp sets!

I created a layered effect by masking the flowers and stamping over them.

I watercoloured the flowers using Camel water colours  and added yellow polka dots to the background to add some interest. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

For this card, I stamped the flower and then water coloured the flower and the background. 

I partially embossed the background and added some sequins to create some interest. 

I adhered both panels using fun foam to add dimension.

I hope you liked the cards and will consider playing with these stamp sets. With the variety of sentiments available on the sets, you can make cards for any occasion!

Stamped and doodled deer

Hello!

I have three christmas mini notecards today, the inspiration for which was this image on instagram!

I used the deer stamp from Winnie and Walter's  'Winter Wonderland' Stamp set and using my Misti tool, I stamped the dear in pale shades of memento inks.

The inspiration design had an etched design on the deer, so I decided to recreate a similar design using my white Signo gel pen.

A cut square stitched dies using Simon Says Stamp dies and stamped the pine leaves (Winnie and Walter 'Winter Wonderland') on two of them and dry embossed the third.

I used Memento 'Summer Sky' ink around the edges and added some buttons and sequins(craftangles)

to add some interest.

I then adhered the deer to the panels (except card no 2..where I stamped the deer directly on the panel) and finished the cards by adhering the panels to a 3"x3" card base.

I absolutely love how they turned out!!

Playing with Craftangles diwali stamps and stencils

Hello!

I am so excited to be playing with my Craftangles DT pack this week!

I have used the 'Diwali wishes', 'Celebrating Diwali', 'Diwali Greetings' stamp sets and 

the 'Starry Lights' stencil and the Craftangles coloured Cardstock to make these cards.

For the first card, I have used hero arts neon inks with the Craftangles 'Starry Lights' stencil to create the background and to colour the diya. 

I added a gold embossed sentiment on vellum and used Craftangles Aqua cardstock as the cardbase to finish the card. 

Sweet and simple!

For the second card, I used the same stencil as above but used Tim Holtz 'Mustard seed' and 'Fired Brick' distress inks to create the background.

I popped up the water coloured and fussy cut family with foam tape, added the sentiment and then used Craftangles 'Navy Blue' cardstock to make the card base.

For my third card, I used a brick embossed card panel onto which I adhered the water coloured and fussy cut lamp. I then gold embossed and stamped the sentiment onto Craftangles 'Ruby Red' card stock and used the same card stock to make a card base too.

I don't usually use coloured card bases, but I am loving these cards from Craftangles. I have many more colours to play with so stay tuned!!

Shubh Laabh!

Hello! 

Today I am playing with two of the Craftangles September release stamps sets, 

'Diwali wishes' and 'Subh Laabh'. 

For my first card, I decided to create a background using the mandala in the 'Diwali wishes' stamp set. First, I used my Misti to stamp the goddess Lakshmi image from the 'Shubh Laabh' onto smooth white card stock. I then created a mask using 'Mudra' masking paper and masked out the image.  I then used Tim Holtz 'spiced marmalade' distress oxide to stamp the mandala background. 

I then used my Sakura Koi watercolours to colour in the background so that the mandalas would pop further.

I intended to keep the Lakshmi image black and white, but, decided to add a bit of colour. so I decided to leave the lotuses white.

I finished the card by adhering some self adhesive gemstones and and a sentiment from the set.

I just love how this card turned out!

Now for some inspiration...
I have used this beautiful stampset deisgned my my talented guest designer
Deepti Malik called Kathryn's Rainbow.

For my card, I stamped and masked the umbrellas to create a floating pattern on a watercoloured sky.

I then painted them with rainbow colours and added the lovely sentiment from the set.

I added the clear sequins from Craftangles to complete the card.

To make the tag, I started with a stitched circle die cut on which I stamped the rainbow and clouds and watercoloured them.

I then cut part of a sentiment from the set and stamped it on the larger cloud which I popped up using 3D tape.

I then die cut some seagulls from the Recollections Nautical die set.

I finished the tag using Craftangles clear sequins and black and white baker's twine.

Thanks for having me over.

 I am sketch artist by default and a card maker by choice. My card making started with making some new year cards back in 2013 and now it has turned into a passion.

I moved a step ahead in 2015 as I started to illustrate my own stamp designs with my line of stamps

"Dee's Artsy Impressions" 

under the umbrella of STAMPlorations:)

I am also an instructor at Craftsy where I teach a class on Watercolour Cards made Simple.

I love all things clean and simple, but I also love to experiment. Water colours are my passion when it comes to a specific medium :)

Besides doing all the creative work, I am also, mom to a 19 month old siddharth, who keeps me on my toes 24x7 ;)

Here is a little  about how I made the card and tag-

I had so much fun making these! 

Lately, my love for inking is back and that led me to make the rainbow background for these.

To make these cards, I drew some diagonal lines using a ruler and then masked off and inked the stripes in rainbow colours using distress inks on both the card panel and the tag.

I then splattered some water on the top.

Next, I stamped, fussy cut and coloured the images and put those together on the base. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment and added some clear sequins.
