I have a few cute mini notecards for you today, which I used making floral cutouts from Craftangles 'Elements packs', stencils and stamps for the current

Craftangles 'Anything goes' challenge.

For the first card, I started with a floral element and leaves from the 

Craftangles Colorful Flowers 4 element pack. I created a background panel using Craftangles 'Ornamental Lace' stencil. I added them all to a 3"x3"mini notecard  along with a birthday sentiment. If you look closely you will see the dew drop sequins adhered to the flower.

For the second card, I fussy cut a floral bouquet element from the 'Craftangles Colourful flowers 6' element pack. I die cut a banner and added a birthday sentiment. I adhered this to a dry embossed panel and then to a 3"x4" mini notecard. I also added some dew drop sequins.

For the third card, I stamped this beautiful flower from the Craftangles 'Everyday Sentiments' stamp set using a very light coloured ink, on watercolour paper. I then did the no line watercolour technique using the Craftangles liquid watercolours. Once dry, I fussy cut the flower and adhered it to the embossed background panel using 3D foam tape. I added a stamped birthday sentiment and adhered the panel to a 3"x4" mini notecard. I added some Craftangles clear sequins to finish the card.

Floral cards using Craftangles elements packs

 Hello!

I have some pretty cards for you today, which I made using Craftangles floral elements packs. These are so beautiful and make the most gorgeous cards with the minimum of effort!

My first card is a mini notecard. I started with an embossed backfround. I fussy cut a floral element from the Craftangles 'Colourful flowers 6' element pack and adhered it to the base using 3D foam tape. I  stamped a sentiment on a die cut panel and added that to the card to finish. I also added some Craftangles clear sequins.

For the second card, I used a panel from the Craftangles  'Vintage rosette 3' element pack and flowers from the 'Colourful flowers 5' element pack. I stamped a sentiment over the panel and adhered it to a card base made with Craftangles 'Earl Grey' cardstock.

For the third card, I fussy cut the floral element from Craftangles 'Watercolour florals 1' elements pack. I then layered it on a plaid stamped and grey cardstock panels. 

I adhered these panels to the bright green card base. 

I gold embossed the sentiment from Craftangles 'Life is pretty amazing' 

stamp set and adhered it with 3D foam tape. I used Craftangles clear sequins to finish the card.

Playing the Twofer challenge.

I made  these cards to play Darnell's brand new Twofer challenge!!

The challenge calls for the use of one stamp in two different ways and for two different ocassions.

After, I made the cards, I went back to read the blog post more carefully, and realised I had to use a feather stamp!!!!!!

Since I have made the cards and written the post, here goes...

 I have used one of the planets from MFT's 'Space Explorer'  for two very different cards.

The first card is a personalised notecard  made for  a little boy who likes planets.

I stamped and water coloured the planets, fussy cut them and popped them up with double sided foam tape on a simple night sky background which I made by splattering some white acrylic paint on blue card stock. I adhered the panel on a 3"x4" note card with the boy's name stamped on it.

I used Stampendous 'Retro' alphabet stamps to stamp the name. 

For the second card, I used Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Box card die with the same navy blue cardstock as the the card above.

I stamped the planet multiple times and water coloured and fussy cut them to create lanterns.

I die cut the banners from the Lawn Fawn set and then hung the 'lanterns' from them. 

Hanging the lanterns took a bit of experimentation.

I sewed the string though each 'lantern', knotted the string and then sandwiched and adhered the string between two of the banner die cuts.

This way they hang like real lanterns.

I added some coloured paint splatter to the box and added the shiny gold embossed sentiment and gold sequins to finish the card.

 I just love how it turned out!!

I forgot to take a photo of the cards together, so here is a photoshopped image of the two, for the purpose of the challenge.

Winnie and Walter 3rd birthday bash-stencil and other challenges

Hello!

I am jumping in and playing the Winnie and Walter 3rd birthday bash challenges today! 

It's the last day today!!

I am playing the 'stencil challenge', the 'bright colours' challenge, and the 'ink blending' challenge and the 'sequin challenge'

To make this card, I used the Winnie and Walter roses stamp set. I watercoloured the roses and fussy cut them, as I did the sentiment too.

I used the Winnie and Walter triangles stencil and hero arts neon inks to create the ink blended stencilled background.

I added a (mft) stitched frame cut out of gold cardstock to add interest to the card. I finished it with transparent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and adhering the panel to a kraft card base.

Congrats Grandma and Grandpa

Hey!

I a playing the Retro sketches rs#213 this evening with this card I made for my cousins who are expecting their first grandchild.

I made it using the 'Its a Boy' 6"x6" paperpack from Craft Adda.

I also used baby themed brads from Recollections and enamel dots for interest. 

The heat embossed sentiment on vellum is combined from Hero Arts and Paper smooches stamp sets.

Cute no?

Here is my inspiration for you this month.

As I could not find readymade pocket letters as you have seen in the videos above, I decided to make my own.

To make my pocket letter, I started with a 12"x12" sheet of patterned paper from Papericious.

I then measured and cut nine pieces of vellum to fit on this sheet.

I then held them in place with a strip of post it tape and sewed them in place with my sewing machine.

I then used Simon Says Stamp's Stitched rectangles die to die cut the inserts for the pockets.

I then went ahead and decorated each insert with images and sentiments for Mother's day!

This is my first pocket letter and I loved making it!

For this card, I used a stampendous cling stamp and watrcoloured with Sakura Koi water colours.
